The "Seriema" suite is a space completely renovated and prepared to receive people who seek to reconnect with nature, without renouncing comfort and quality. Our ecofarm is surrounded by beautiful mountains, waterfalls and hiking trails for you to fully enjoy your "getting-away" experience. The space You will have a 30 m² room and a private bathroom. In order to use the shared kitchen, due to Covid-19, some rules and measurements have to be followed. Breakfast is prepared individually and served in your room, at your preferred time. The water in the houses comes clean from the fountain, safe to drink from the tap. A weak VIVO celular signal works, but we have a very good optical fiber wifi in the houses. The Projeto MAARA eco farm covers 30 hectares and is situated in the beautiful mountains of the Atlantic Forest, close to the Três Picos National Park, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. The place is very quiet and peaceful. The center of Nova Friburgo is about a 25-minute drive from the site. We started our project in the beginning of 2020 and are in the process to learn and establish permaculture principles in both our farm and our family life. Here, you can get to know our agroforest, waterfalls, small lake and organic garden, as well as activities for adults and children, such as a campfire, trails, horseback riding (to combine 1 week in advance), fishing and board games. The region is also great for activities such as cycling, mountain biking and bird watching. We invite you to disconnect from the hectic world and participate in this ecological experience in harmony with nature. Other things to note the voltage in this region is 220V - please, consider this when using devices different than cellphone or laptop.
