Cozy hostel in downtown Arequipa
Joske Cultural Hostel in Centro Histórico
Description
📍Located in the heart of Arequipa’s Historic Center, just 4 blocks from Plaza de Armas and close to the Monastery of Santa Catalina, JOSKE offers comfortable private rooms for travelers, couples, and friends. Enjoy a terrace with views of the Misti Volcano and a cozy atmosphere that offers both tranquility on weekdays and a social vibe on weekends, with activities such as salsa, rock, and karaoke in our cultural bar. The space Our property combines the charm of a traditional house in the historic center of Arequipa with a social and welcoming atmosphere designed for travelers looking for more than just a place to sleep. We offer comfortable private rooms and common areas where guests can relax, chat, and share experiences with travelers from different parts of the world. One of our favorite spaces is our terrace, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city and the majestic Misti Volcano, especially at sunset. Inside the property, we also have a cultural bar that is part of the experience of the place. There, we aim to share a bit of the local identity through music, cuisine, and connections between travelers. As part of this tradition, on Sundays we offer the classic Arequipa-style adobo, one of the most iconic dishes of the local cuisine, prepared for those who want to enjoy an authentic Arequipa Sunday breakfast. Our aim is to offer a comfortable, authentic, and social space where guests can get to know the city, its culture, and other travelers in a relaxed and friendly environment. Guest access Guests have access to their private room and to the property’s common areas, including the shared kitchen, terrace, and social spaces. The property is located on the second floor and above, so access is via stairs. The property’s bar is also open to guests and visitors. On weekends, there are some social activities, and on Sundays, the traditional Arequipa-style adobo is served for those who want to enjoy this local specialty. Other things to note The property is located on the second floor and above, so access is via stairs. On weekends, the property’s bar may have music and social activities, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. This is part of the local cultural and social environment, so there may be some activity in certain areas. Our goal is to maintain a balance between a cozy space for resting and a social environment where travelers can meet people and enjoy the local culture.
