Enjoy a weekend getaway at our Pocono retreat! Our house is nestled in the beautiful woods of the White Haven Poconos, just under 200 yards from the lake area. Surrounded by nature's finest, it's common to spot deer as you stroll through the development, and you might even catch a glimpse of a bear. There are plenty of activities to enjoy. In the summer, you can go biking, golfing, shopping, and white water rafting. In the winter, the area offers excellent skiing and snowboarding. The space With accommodations for up to six people, it's ideal for a small group. The free WiFi and two Roku TVs ensure that even on rainy days, there's plenty of entertainment. A fully stocked kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker and available pods makes it easy to enjoy a cozy morning coffee. Other things to note There is so much to do in and around the Poconos! Shopping: Jim Thorpe - Historic town along the Lehigh Valley Gorge. Unique shops along the main street.. At the top of the street is the historic Old Jail Museum. You can also take a train ride along the Lehigh River. Old Country Junction - World's Largest General Store (Lehighton, Pa) Outdoor activities: D & L Bike Trail - located just outside the development. White Haven is a short bike ride. You can also rent bikes and bike from White Haven to Jim Thorpe and ride a shuttle back. Lehigh White water rafting - available during the summer months. These fill up quick so make sure to book in advance. Pocono raceway - racing events April - October. Want to drive a race car? Other activities: Penn's Peak - Beautiful mountaintop entertainment venue located near Jim Thorpe. They hold a variety of concerts here throughout the year. You can also just take in the view at Roadies Restaurant & Bar.
