West Seattle Cottage-World Cup!

Newly renovated West Seattle Cottage is your home away from home. Twenty minute H Line Bus to downtown & train. Short drive to Vashon Ferry & Lincoln Park. Close 560 bus line will take you directly to airport. Easy walk to Westwood Village for groceries & shopping. Pleasurable cottage for grandparents or a great place to unwind after workday or vacation. Private fenced yard is grill ready for evening dinners-happy hour outside. Driveway is private and ready for EV plug-in if you have car. The space It's a classic Seattle bungalow with all the essential amenities of bathroom, living room, bedroom and kitchen. The fenced backyard features lots of sun, a pleasing outside experience with outdoor furniture and grill for sunny day barbeques. There is also a covered back patio for rainy days too. We have recently renovated the interior and updated the plumbing and electrical to building code. We have reconfigured the bathroom and kitchen to provide a modern and livible space. New features include a towel warmer in the bathroom and blackout shades in the bedroom. The house has a central gas heater that is run by thermostat. There is also a stand-alone fan that can run in heat or cooling mode for your comfort. It's Seattle, so most houses don't have centralized air conditioning for summer. We do have a stand alone AC unit that can run in the summer, but we tend to rely on the cool nights with windows down and the fan. We are more than willing to accommodate those few really hot days of summer. There is one bedroom with a queen bed and also a pull out couch in the living room. Three adults would be tight, but doable. A family with 2 kids might also stay in the bedroom and couch bed. Guest access Let yourself in and out. The entire house and fenced yard is yours while you stay. Enjoy! You can get in at the front door with the access code. There is a key in a lock box at the back door that you can access if need be. The front entry has a lighted path for if it's dark when you arrive. Other things to note Cars aren't necessary for visiting Seattle from this house. If you did bring a car, there is a private driveway for parking while you stay. We added a EV hook up near the driveway for your electric car. There is also additional free street parking as well. If you're feeling like a fun neighborhood activity, you can check out the roller rink at Southgate in White Center or walk/ drive down to Fresh Flours coffee shop. Limber Yoga is right up the road if you crave peace. Endolyne Joes is a fun brunch activity and Wildwood Market and Eatery has a great deck for summer drinks. The Bird House is one of only a couple mom&pop coffee shops in the area. If you're looking for bigger chains, you can find 3 Starbucks in various locals at Westwood Village. All activities are close by. Check them out on your phone. We live in the neighborhood and are available to help if you need anything during your stay. We also respect your privacy so won't know if you need anything unless you ask. Unfortunately this house is not a good fit for someone in a wheel chair or needing a lot of assistance walking. There are steps to the front door and also 1 within the house. That being said, we did design the outside lighting for grandparents and the front door light is on at night to light the walkway in the dark. Registration Details STR-OPLI-24-001540
