The space Escape to our charming beachfront casita, thoughtfully designed with an open-concept layout to let the refreshing sea breeze flow through the space. The casita features a seamless combination of kitchen, living, and sleeping areas, with a private enclosed bathroom for your comfort. From your casita, you’ll be treated to stunning ocean views, surrounded by lush gardens and the sandy beach. Interior Highlights: The casita is equipped with a high-end, ultra-comfy hybrid memory foam king-sized mattress and an ultra-quiet 6-speed ceiling fan to keep you cool at night. Bath and beach towels are provided for your stay as well. The spacious ensuite bathroom boasts a beautiful open-air shower with both hot and cold water—perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach while enjoying the natural surroundings. Fully Stocked Kitchen: Prepare delicious meals in the well-equipped kitchen, complete with a blender, fridge, full stove/oven, mini Weber BBQ, and French press carafe. Please note: due to our solar power setup, we do not have a toaster, microwave, or traditional coffee maker. Off-Grid & Eco-Friendly: Our casita is entirely off-grid and self-sustaining, powered by solar energy. We collect fresh rainwater, which is filtered through a multi-stage system to provide you with clean drinking water. Despite our eco-friendly setup, we’ve ensured your stay is comfortable, with high-speed Wi-Fi (100+ Mbps) via StarLink, a 32” TV loaded with streaming apps, and a cozy couch for relaxing. Beachfront Paradise & Surf Shack: Our private beach area is a true highlight, complete with a large sandy space lined with palm trees and breathtaking views of the bay. Unwind in a hammock, challenge friends to a game of ping pong, or simply watch the sunset over the distant Costa Rican mountains. Dive into the Caribbean waters, snorkel, swim, or paddle to a nearby reef teeming with colorful sea life. When you’re done, rinse off at our convenient outdoor shower. Take a scenic 45-minute walk or a quick 5-minute boat ride to Starfish Beach (Playa Estrella) for calm waters, snorkeling, and local dining. Bird Island is just a 15-minute boat ride away, where you’ll encounter exotic bird species on a stunning, nature-filled island. Both are must-sees on our end of the island, Boca del Drago! Guest access Guest Access & Shared Spaces: Guests have full access to the casita and all amenities, including a dedicated parking spot for a quad/scooter or personal vehicle. Shared areas include the steps down to the beach and the main sandy beach area. The owners reside in the main upper house and may use the beach, boat and water access from time to time, but the guests will have priority use of the space. You may encounter harmless insects and geckos. The casita is accessed via a staircase (~60 steps) with an additional 15 steps to the beach. We are 100% sustainable, so please use water and electricity sparingly. Electric heating elements (like hairdryers) are not allowed. Maintaining an oceanfront property is a continuous effort, so minor wear and tear is expected. Our goal is to provide an authentic experience rather than a luxury hotel stay. Transportation Guests typically arrive by car taxi ($25 for 2ppl) or public bus ($2.50/person). Construction Notice There is ongoing construction on a house over 100 meters away, which may cause occasional noise. Additionally, construction on the main road near our driveway may also be active at times. We appreciate your understanding.
