Winter Escape at Lake of the Woods Chalet

Welcome to our family mountain retreat in beautiful southern Oregon, set on the the southwest side of Mt Mcloughlin and a 10 minute drive from Lake of the Woods Resort. The perfect getaway for those wanting nature and adventure. Enjoy a night at the fire pit, games on the deck, and family dinner from the fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy STARLINK on the 65" family TV or Xbox in the game room. Enjoy star gazing, miles of national forest trails, and the lake. Lake of the Woods offers year round fun! Other things to note For WINTER booking: This property is at 5300 ft elevation so winter can throw some curve balls. Please be aware that a 4x4 vehicle with snow tires is likely needed to get to the cabin if snow is on the ground and access the driveway in icey or snowy conditions. We have community roads that are plowed and our drive way is plowed weekly so you have direct access to the garage and home. Other pathways will likely not be cleared depending on snow pack. We have a full backup generator, gravity fed water, and wood/propane assist fireplace, but we just want to be clear and upfront, if you or your group is uncomfortable in a potential winter storm situation, this may not be the place for you. This is a true mountain cabin. As such, weather conditions can cause power outages, snow storms, ice, and inclement travel conditions.
