The cottage has all amenities in a pastoral setting; the perfect secluded hub for your island adventures, equally well-suited for a family vacation or romantic get-away. Tucked away in a valley below our main house, it is adjacent to our garden with produce for your table seasonally. Feel free to stroll to the bluff for views of West Sound, or take the canoe and kayaks for a spin. Fall asleep to the lullaby frog chorus in the spring and summer. With the pond and plethora of beautiful vegetation, our 25 acre farm has become a bird sanctuary, with hundreds of species throughout the seasons. This one bedroom plus loft apartment (accessed by a sturdy ship's ladder) is well-appointed with quality furnishings. Queen bed in the bedroom and two twins in the loft above . Full kitchen, propane barbecue, flatscreen and DVD player for entertainment (lots of DVD's included), wireless internet connection, and warmth from the cozy propane heating stove. We supply locally roasted coffee and tea, spices, paper products, and fully equipped kitchen. AND our 25 acre farm adjoins Turtleback Mountain Preserve! This island treasure has amazing hikes which vary from old forested areas to phenomenal vistas of neighboring islands and beyond. We are located just five miles from the ferry, five miles from the main village of Eastsound, and a mere one and a half miles from the waters at West Sound. Guest access The entire farm is yours for exploring and the cottage is completely self contained for your use. You're welcome to eggs from the chickens and any produce that might be in season. The only private area is the knoll above where our home is located out of site; the driveway is clearly marked.
