Today, it is one of the best preserved, heritage-listed Victorian masterpieces in the region. The space The Convent, Murrumburrah is a beautiful and grand home, with 11 spacious bedrooms. These bedrooms consist of 2 x Kings, 7 x Queens, and 2 x Singles. There are 3 fully equipped bathrooms with showers and toilets, and one bath. Enjoy a family meal in our sunlit Art Deco formal dining room, or entertain outside on our deck area nestled amongst historic fruit trees, fit with a barbecue, umbrella and large outdoor dining suite. This is a perfect afternoon spot for listening to the birds, and watching dramatic sunsets over the distant hills, blooming with canola in the springtime. Cook to your heart's desire in our charming country-style kitchen, fit with a large gas stove and oven, top of the range coffee machine, air fryer, and all the usual appliances you may require. The Convent also boasts a separate scullery, two full-sized fridges, a dishwasher and washing machine. Retreat further inside to our light-filled lounge room with a magnificent library and bookshelf, and cosy fireplace ideal for winter nights. There is also a 75" smart TV, perfect for movies and entertainment. Additionally, enjoy the use of a high-quality Bluetooth sound system, great for a get-together. Stroll around the expansive manicured gardens and lawns, with commanding views of the surrounding countryside. Enjoy a morning tea or coffee on the east-facing front veranda, overlooking the ceremonial entrance and majestic fountain. The property is also fully fenced and suitable for children and pets to run free. Take a walk down to the historic Murrumburrah village, passing the iconic St Mary's Church (built in 1868), and over the panoramic railway bridge. Once on the main street, visit the famous pub, in addition to fantastic cafes, restaurants and the unique honey shop. On a hot summer’s day, head down to Harden’s amazing public swimming pool - only 5 mins drive away! There is plenty of parking within the property, and abundant street parking too.
