Kookaburra's Rest

Kookaburra's Rest will be available 1 June through to 31 Aug 2026 for long term stays only. Please contact host for details. Nestled amongst native flora and fauna, you'll find a well-appointed cottage situated on an acre of picturesque land, named Kookaburra's Rest. The bird life here is abundant, including the Kookaburra which you'll hear during the day, particularly at dawn and dusk. The space When the weather is inclement, you can bring the outdoors in by sitting in the large lounge room. The outlook from this room is magical, providing views over the back yard. Firewood is available for the slow combustion heater, providing warmth for the entire house. A split system is also available for heating and cooling. There are 2 bedrooms available, 1 with a queen-size bed, the other with a double bed. Both bedrooms have panel heaters to keep you warm during cold nights. The huge back deck space is an ideal area for a cuppa or a BBQ. A WebberQ is available for outdoor cooking. A firepit is available for warmth and is an ideal spot to soak up the ambience that this property offers. Kookaburra's Rest is located on a tree studded road and surrounded by farm land. This allows for peaceful walks, taking in the views of Mt Rouse and Mt Napier in the distance. Guest access Guests have access to all rooms apart from one which we keep locked. The garage is also kept locked.
