Sweet Farmhouse Retreat - Amazing Sunporch!

Enjoy the best of both worlds - get away from it all in this rural piece of cozy history with all of the necessary amenities, yet minutes from everything the area has to offer: Devil's Lake (13 miles), Wisconsin Dells (23 mins), Cascade Mountain (8.9 miles), Devil's Head Ski Resort (6.7 miles), Parfrey's Glen, the Wisconsin River & Lake Wisconsin, Wollersheim Winery, and so much more! Enjoy the local wildlife (deer, turkeys, foxes, bald eagles) as well as our docile Belted Galloways & sheep. The space This farmhouse goes back approximately 200 years, and loved by its family throughout. The last 75 years our family has enjoyed its comfort. Many, many updates from 200 years ago, but still maintains that undeniable historic feel. The farmhouse currently resides within a working livestock farm with views of the Wisconsin River & valley. You may see our Belted Galloway cows, as well as our sheep (depending on which pasture they are in). Our animals rotationally graze - they move pastures from time to time. Three private bedrooms - one bedroom with a queen bed lower level; upstairs has one bedroom with double bed and one bedroom with two twin beds. Enjoy restful sleep on cozy memory foam mattresses and black out shades. Enjoy a quiet evening around the firepit. Listen to nature or look at the stars. Parents of young children: There is a small pond on the property - please don't allow your little ones near the pond. There are 2 sets of stairs. The home is not baby-proofed. Guest access The entire home is for your use, minus the basement and cellar. Owners may need to stop over to water livestock on occasion. This is mainly in the summer and fall months - we will notify you if needed. Other things to note For anyone with mobility issues, you may want to sleep in the downstairs bedroom with the queen bed. The stairs going to the second floor are a bit steep. Also, the State of WI requires hosts to retain a registry (full legal name & address) of each adult guest on site. You will complete a brief form to provide this information after booking, or you can provide your info via the message platform.
