Newly refurbished, fully renovated 1870 fisherman’s cottage in the quaint conservation village of Cockenzie, East Lothian. Decorated in sumptuous velvets, tartan, unique art, copper switches, sockets and accent lighting throughout. Exposed stone walls, (gas) wood burner, open plan lounge (with double sofa bed) kitchen/dining with window seat in Harris Tweed to watch the world go by. Spacious double bedroom, separate dressing area and stylish bathroom with power shower. Ideal coastal getaway! The space The newly refurbished and renovated cottage can sleep up to 4 adults. Relax in sumptuous surroundings decorated to a high quality with unique touches throughout. Upstairs there is a spacious double bedroom with separate dressing area. The bedroom has a television, hairdryer, clothes steamer, plenty of hanging space and chest of drawers. There is a feature stone wall and wooden flooring throughout. A new blackout blind has been fitted for the bedroom skylight. The bathroom (also upstairs) has a power shower, toilet and hand basin. We provide shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. And of course white fluffy towels! On the ground floor is a fully equipped open plan kitchen featuring a stone wall, stylish tiling and wooden floors throughout. There is a copper hot water tap, Belfast sink, wooden worktop as well as dishwasher, washing machine/drier. The unique granite kitchen island comfortably seats 4 on velvet bar stools. Plenty of sockets throughout. The open plan lounge has a comfortable navy velvet full size double sofa bed and footstool (bedding provided in the left hand under stairs cupboard), wooden flooring throughout, television, (gas) wood burning stove, leather chair and sheepskin, comfy window seat in Harris Tweed, unique art and accent lighting including LED up the stairs. An additional under the stairs cupboard with coat hooks provides more storage. The cottage has WiFi, central heating and there is free on street parking. Guest access Guests have the use of the whole cottage. Other things to note We hope you enjoy your stay in our lovely wee cottage as much as we did completing the refurbishment and renovation. Please do treat our place with respect - it has quality finishes and fittings and will suit the discerning guest to a tee! Unfortunately we do not accept pets and are not suitable for children under 3 (there is no baby equipment provided).
