17th Century Town Cottage in Wem

Inviting Grade 2 listed cottage located in an attractive side street in the old market town of Wem. Recently refurbished in keeping with the ambience of this old cottage. May be unsuitable for children under 7 see Other details to note The space You enter the cottage from the street to a good sized sitting room with a sofa bed, an amazing fireplace with an electric wood burner stove, so instant heat and no need to lug logs around. WIFI, Smart TV, dedicated office area, board games and books. Upstairs, are two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king sized French style hand carved bed, dressing table and hanging space. There is room for the trundle bed if needed. The second bedroom has single Victorian style daybed, dressing table and hanging space. The bathroom has a large shower and demist mirror. The kitchen and dining area are open plan. The kitchen is equipped with a range style cooker with induction hob and two electric ovens, a half sized dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The dining area has a table, 3 chairs and a bench. This leads to a sunny small private courtyard garden with a garden table, 4 chairs and a bench, so you can sit outside with a drink if the weather is kind to you. The cottage does not have EV charging at the property but a very short walk away is a Fuuse Charging Station in nearby New Street - Fast charging 185kW and Connected Kerb Charging Stations in Aston Street and Noble Street that are also within walking distance. Guest access I will need to hand over the keys in person to you at the moment. So it would be really helpful if you could give me an estimated time of your arrival There is free parking on Chapel Street but it can be tricky getting a space. But! All is not lost the Co-op Car Park is very close to the house. The current charges are 40p per hour, minimum charge 1 hour. All day £3.20. Free parking from 6pm to 8am, also free on Sundays and Bank Holidays. If you let me know your vehicle registration number, I can show you the short cut to the house. For less nimble visitors who don’t fancy climbing the stairs, (they are quite steep,) please contact me and I can organise making bedding available for the sofa bed downstairs. Conveniently the bathroom is also downstairs. Other things to note 1. The maximum occupancy I can accommodate is 4. However, the space is best suited to 3 people. Please let me know if you would like a fourth person to stay. There are two options for a fourth person. Bedding can be made available for the sofa bed in the sitting room. Or a single trundle bed can be set up in the main bedroom if preferred. 2. The stairs are quite steep, it is not possible to fit a stair gate at the top of the stairs but one can be fitted at the bottom of the stairs. There is a shower only in the bathroom so the house may not be suitable for children under 7. 3. EV's - there is a Fuuse EV Charging Station in nearby New Street. Fast charging at 180 kW. Also some Connected Kerb Charging Stations on Aston Street and Noble Street at 7kW
