The Porter House

The Porter House sits on 1.5 acres. Guests have their own entrance, bedroom w/queen size bed, love seat, full bath, mini fridge, microwave, Keurig maker, a private sitting room and Google Wi-Fi TV. I’m 2 miles from the Indiana Dunes National and State Parks.There are several beautiful beaches along Lake Michigan. Adjacent to Porter is the town of Chesterton known for its European market May through October. I live on site so any and all questions or concerns will be dealt with immediately. The space The Porter House has the best of both worlds. Surrounded by nature, yet a short drive to civilization, or just over an hours train ride into Chicago via the famed South Shore Railroad. Please note....The space is attached to the main house , but you have your own separate entrance. It’s also still under construction so the landscaping is unfinished. Guest access Guests have full access to the grounds and back porch. Keep in mind this is our home. We live here so you may run into us enjoying the very things you are free to use During your stay I am ready and willing to do what I can to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. While I respect your privacy, I am happy to get to know you and provide you with information about the area and its attractions. Other things to note If there are any issues, or suggestions, please let me know immediately. I can't make your experience better if I don't know about them. Telling me something was not right after the fact doesn't give me the opportunity to rectify the situation for you. I live on site so any corrections will be handled immediately. Also please know that I’m still under construction. The landscaping is not complete. You will have to walk on planks and dirt to get to the house. For you hikers out there, this is ideal. 😊
