The Horsebox is an Off-grid Tiny-house offering a unique blend of comfort and character. Situated within an open meadow shared to several Horses, atop of the Mendip Hills. You'll be in a fantastic location to explore Somerset; with Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar gorge and Wookey Hole on your door-step! Incredible viewing point 'Deer leap' just a short walk from the farm. This classy cabin boasts underfloor heating plus a wood burner; ensuring a cosy all-year round stay, with hot showers of course! The space The Horsebox is a custom built dwelling upon the chassis of a 1988 Ford Cargo. Completely Constructed a-new from the chassis up; It boasts a highly insulated structure and includes an underfloor heating system which ensures a stable, comfortable temperature. The Mezzanine offers sleeping quarters for two adults upon the comfy Ikea pocket sprung mattress. There's is room to place a travel cot besides the double mattress if you so wished. The Circle window offers beautiful star-gazing in bed, full moon viewing and glorious morning sunsets. The Sofa-bed is extremely easy to set up and put away and is amongst the comfiest we have tried. It is also sturdy enough for two large adults. The Custom-made kitchen was designed to be both practical and enjoyable with the mini breakfast bar. Height adjustable stools and suspended feature light offer style and intimacy. The sink is a large Ceramic Belfast; making washing up easy and the Oven is suspended higher than usual to keep out of the way of little hands should you have small children with you. The Veranda is fenced and decked and offers a cosy place to sit with the patio heater and a raised platform to admire the views across the fields. The Lower decking is an ideal space to sit and enjoy the open air and There's plenty of space for yoga or exercise if you are so inclined. The contained garden area is all yours to enjoy and is paved and wood-chipped to ensure that even on wet days there is always a clean area to enjoy. A fire pit is happily provided for you to use responsibly. Extra wood can be supplied at an extra cost. Back inside; The bathroom has tiled walls floor to ceiling and offers a pleasurable experience under the large rain-head shower. The shower-tray is an antique galvanised bathtub which is a fun feature. The Toilet is simply a free-standing chemical toilet which will be clean and emptied for each guest. The capacity is usually plenty enough for several days of use by any couple. However, the waste disposal point is near-by and we and are happy to empty it for you should you need. We hope you will enjoy our little place and are happy to accommodate as best we can. Guest access You'll have full access to the spacious private garden area however we must ask you to be respectful of horses in the paddocks.
