Only 10 minutes from the interstate, this home is an affordable, cozy, and safe option. Peaceful but also lively, this family home has everything you need while away. Treat it as it’s your own. This home is full of love, and is a great place to experience the crisp mountain air and wildlife that bring many to this area. Day hiking is popular as there are many trails around to enjoy. Appalachian trail is all around within 15 minutes in several directions as well as trout fishing. The space This house is a bargain. Your room has a king size sealy posturepedic mattress. Kitchen is stocked with all essentials for cooking your own meals and cleaning up after yourself. We do not charge cleaning fees so please clean up after yourself. Dining room has large farmhouse table for meals and 6 person seating. Comfy leather couch and love seat, rocking chair, and glider are in livingroom. There is a large wood stove for fires and extra heaters in rooms. Fans for cooling if needed in each room. Air purifiers. Washer and dryer in case you need to do laundry. Bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Windows can be opened for fresh air or kept closed. Guest access All first floor is available to use except sunroom attached to front guest room and upstairs. There are many amenities that are available to you in home. All cabinets, drawers and doors with hearts dangling from them are accessible to you the guest. This house is stocked with all the goodies to do all sorts of dinner ideas. Relax and unwind and treat it like your families home that you love. Yard is available to use. During your stay We are here almost full time, so please just ask us if you need anything. We are available via messaging as well. Our children are very friendly, and we guarantee that they will try to talk to you. We are a family, so there will be noise and happy feral children here most of day. Please book if you are okay with this sort of loving atmosphere. We are known to invite you to eat with us as well, if this freaks you out, it’s all for the better. Did you know eating with others creates oxytocin in most…. and pure terror in others? Get uncomfortable, it allows for growth. If you are in a hurry, or looking for a great deal with no interaction, arrive late and leave early. Other things to note We are rural so if you would like to get groceries before coming, there is a store in Rural Retreat called Food Country as well as Dutch Pantry, Dollar General, and Family Dollar. Wytheville has Walmart and Food City about 25 minutes away as well as many other food options. Cell service may not be available via some carriers, but you have access to WIFI. We live here full time so please keep this in mind as this is a family home.
