Nenek's homestay (Grandma's homestay)

Experience the real Aceh and stay with Nenek! Nenek enjoys meeting people from all over the world. Although she doesn't speak English, you will still be able to communicate. Neneks modern house is located in a quiet location and looks onto a pond. The house has a modern kitchen which you are welcome to use. Nenek is a fantastic cook and we encourage you to try some local food. If you want this you just need to email your requests and any dietary requirements ahead of time. The space This house is located in the outer suburbs of Banda Aceh. We are central to all the local sights. Approximate distances to: Coffee shop = 5 min walk; Local shopping / restaurants precinct (Keutapang) = 10 min walk; Centre of the city = 15 min drive; Surf beaches = 20 min drive; Ferry port = 15 min drive; Airport = 20 min drive; Guest access You are welcome to access the whole house including the kitchen, lounge room, laundry and outside areas. Given this is a homestay Nenek will also be staying in the house while you are visiting. Her bedroom and bathroom are at a different side of the house, but the kitchen and living areas are communal. During your stay Nenek will meet you on arrival. She is happy to socialise or give you space if you need it. You decide! Other things to note This house is managed and lived in by Nenek. This business has been set up by Neneks son and daughter-in-law who live in Australia. The purpose is for Nenek to earn an income and also have some company from time-to-time. Nenek has family living nearby which can also provide support if required. The communication in English is managed from Australia. Additional services: Nenek also offers additional services eg. food, transport etc. Please inform us via airbnb email 24 hours in advance. Ideally the services should be paid in advance where possible. ADDITIONAL ROOM - We have an additional room if you require separate sleeping arrangements. Please let us know your requirements on booking and we will let you know what we can do. COOKING - Nenek is an amazing cook and can prepare local dishes for you at an additional cost. Message us your requests ahead of your trip and we will do our best to organise for you. TRANSPORT and TOUR SERVICES - We can also use our local contacts to organise transport and/or tours.
