Recently renovated Edwardian home with period features throughout, and located in the beautiful historic town centre of Abingdon on Thames. The house is within walking distance to the River Thames and has access to excellent transport links into Oxford or to Didcot Parkway train station (direct train to London Paddington). The space The house has recently undergone a full renovation with period features maintained throughout. With restored floorboards, fireplaces and decoration we would love you to enjoy staying here as much as we do. The living room has a comfy corner sofa with a working log burner and 43" Samsung Smart HD TV with Sky Sports, Netflix and range of cable channels. The living room is at the front of the house and privacy can be maintained through the fitted blind. The dining room has a large original school house style sash window which looks out towards the garden. A large dining table which can comfortably seat 4 allows you the opportunity to eat in or prepare food (Waitrose supermarket is a 3 minute walk away, Tesco Express is a 5 minute walk). For those needing to work the dining room also houses a functional work space with docking station for both USB and USB-C , 2 large flat screen monitors, office chair and keyboard. The house also has superfast broadband. The kitchen is newly fitted and fully equipped with a Neff double oven, microwave and gas hob. There is also a integrated fridge freezer and washing machine. A kettle, toaster and cafetiere are available alongside all standard kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery. The master bedroom has a super king bed and ample hanging and drawer storage for clothing. As with the living room the master bedroom is at the front of the house. The second bedroom has a double bed, vanity unit and storage space for clothes and shoes. Views of the garden can be seen through the rear original sash window. The bathroom has a large walk in shower, heated towel radiator and we provided all basic toiletries. The garden is accessible via the kitchen and is a small courtyard that enjoys afternoon and evening sun. Guest access As guests you will have full private access to the entire house during your stay. Other things to note There is parking to the rear of the property, with ample parking spaces available. The house is accessed via the front of the property so is a short walk (2 mins) from the parking location. Due to the town centre location there will be some traffic noise and passers by but the front of the house is double glazed. Logs can be made available for the log burner so please let us know in advance of your arrival if you intend to use it. All bedding and towels are provided for your stay and a linen change can be arranged for longer stays. Basic store cupboard ingredients will be provided including milk, coffee, tea, breakfast cereal etc. Waitrose supermarket is a short 3 minute walk away with other supermarkets also close by. A petrol station is located within a minutes drive of the property. A bus stop is located 50m from the front door and will take you direct to Oxford City Centre. We are able to provide a travel cot for guests with young children free of charge, Please let us know in advance if you would like this set up. We do NOT have safety gates on the stairs so parents will be responsible for minding their children on the stairs.
