Please note that Mary Esther is a military community. At times, you may hear training exercises or low‑flying aircraft. It doesn’t happen often, but it is part of life in this area and affects all homes nearby. Wildlife is common in the Florida Panhandle, including black bears. They typically keep to themselves, but please stay aware, especially around trash bins. If you notice anything concerning, let us know. Termite swarming season in this region typically runs from April through July. During these months, it helps to keep outdoor lights to a minimum at night, as bright lighting can attract swarming insects. This is a normal seasonal occurrence throughout coastal Florida. Summer months bring heavier traffic due to tourism. Expect delays on major roads, especially during peak beach hours. Planning a little extra travel time will help keep your days stress‑free. Trash pickup is on Wednesday and Saturday. Please place the bins at the curb the evening before or early in the morning, and ensure they’re out before checkout if your stay overlaps a pickup day.
