Description
This is a guest cottage on our 70 acre property located just east of the town of Baddeck on the far side of Beinn Bhreagh. It is a 10 minute drive into town or a 15 minute drive to the Gaelic College in Saint Anns. It is a studio style cabin with Pine interior and amazing Lake views. Located on top of Long Hill Road, facing the Great Bras D’Or, on Beinn Bhreagh Mountain, across the Bay from Baddeck , Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. This is a unique Cape Breton Island property. The space The property has approximately 1700 feet of shoreline along the Lake itself. A 1/2 mile long steep winding scenic trail takes you to the shore where a sand and gravel private beach stretches from point to point. It is a moderately difficult hike. The salt water lake is warm for swimming generally from Mid July to late August. Wear water shoes as you must pass the rocky entrance to get to the sandy bottom swim area. Once there you may wish to walk the shores and enjoy ponds, eagles, seabirds, fish breaking, deer grazing and sail and power boats off the shore. The beach is prime for rocks and shell collecting. The south facing cottage has stunning views, a king size bed, wifi and TV. Recreation possibilities on property include kayaking, canoeing, swimming, sailing and hiking in spring, summer and fall as well as snowshoeing, cross country skiing, skating and snowmobiling in the winter. Ten minute drive to the village of Baddeck & Alexander Graham Bell Museum and Bell Bay Golf Course and just over an hour to the Cabot Links at Inverness.
