Serene, Ometepe Island, earthen, solar, two-room casita with full kitchen, for 2-4 adults; and private bath with HOT water. It sits in an idyllic, organic farm; Finca Libelula, It is a very short walk to the lake or to the village. Full kitchen, Wi-Fi , jungle sounds, birds, monkeys, and flush toilets. Sleeps 2 in the bedroom. There is another double bed/day-bed in the main room. Great location, between Balgue and Santa Cruz. Newly expanded and renovated. Perfect for climbing volcanoes. The space The two room solar powered casita is a stylish earthbag and adobe structure with a full kitchen. It can sleep four, but is most comfortable with just 2 people..The cabin is near the lake with limited access to the waterfront and amazing views of the volcanoes. You have your own breezy cabin porch in a garden setting to enjoy. This home is in the jungle. We do not use pesticides so there will be occasional insects. We share the world with them, but will set limits to control them as necessary. If you like the sound of birds and monkeys, you will love this place. It is 300 meters from the main road, so it is private and quiet. Guest access Finca Libelula- The guests will have access to the secure, fenced property through a combination locked gate. Keys will be arranged in advance. The driveway is rustic, so four-wheel drive is recommended. The casita is 300 meters down a driveway from the main road. So plan on walking a bit if you get dropped off. Other things to note Once you have booked the property you will be given specific details about how to find the cabin. It is lovely because it is somewhat secluded, yet it is very safe. All of the windows and doors have locked bars and it is fully screened for insects. Nonetheless, always guard your property and be wise. The farm is not suitable for children. Sorry. There is a sweet guard-dog on the property, so any new pet must be approved. Special requests will be considered. This is a very popular area on the island. Once or twice a week the local bars will have a late party. If you don’t want to join the party, do bring earplugs for the occasional festivity in the neighborhood. This is a non smoking property. The kitchen has filtered, potable water. The kitchen has a compost container and a trash bin. Garbage that might attract insects goes in an outdoor bin. Weekly linen change and floor cleaning included in longer stays. Laundry and other cleaning services available upon request.
