Private Room in Beautiful Inner Richmond

Your own private room in a classic SF Edwardian house, 2 blocks from GG Park. Private bedroom in our house. Shared kitchen, two bathrooms, living room, backyard. Wifi and laundry. We are located in the safe, convenient, and fun Inner Richmond neighborhood. 2 blocks from direct bus straight to downtown. 2 blocks from all the great restaurants and shops on Clement St. Superhosts for over 8 years in a row! A family with two kids and a dog. The space We are excited to share a private bedroom with two twin beds, in our beautiful, 1600 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, Edwardian home in the safe and eclectic Inner Richmond, with easy bus access to downtown! This room is normally our daughter, Olivia's, room, but we make this available to visitors for special occasions. Our home is easily accessible to downtown with multiple buses (38, 31, 5) just a couple blocks away. We are also two blocks away from Golden Gate Park. OUR CHILDREN AND DOG First of all, we are grateful that our kids, Max (born in 2011) and Olivia (born in 2012) will grow up in a house that they share with people from all over the world. Please note that while you will have your own private room, you will be sharing the house with the four of us. We of course do not expect you to spend time with the kids, but you must be kid friendly! :) Our morning starts around 7:30 am during weekdays, so you may hear some noise as everyone is eating breakfast and getting ready for school and work. Your room should be pretty quiet, though. We also have an adorable Goldendoodle, Mango. She loves making new friends and receiving hugs and pets. She is a part poodle, so she has hair, not fur. But if you have extreme allergies, we wanted to make sure you know. OUR HOME Ok, back to the details: The main floor includes living room, dining room, kitchen, and full bathroom. Original Edwardian-home styling including dining room "hutch", intricate wood floor designs, wainscoting, etc. The kitchen and dining room and main floor bathroom is newly renovated in 2021. It is bright and large with modern appliances and dishwasher. Living room includes flat smart screen tv with DVR capabilities. We also have an elliptical exercise machine. Free wifi. YOUR ROOM The top floor has three bedrooms: our master bedroom, Maxwell's bedroom, and your guest bedroom (which is usually Olivia's bedroom). Your bedroom includes two twin mattresses. As you can see from the photos, there is a twin bed. Note: the bed also pulls out, so if you want, we are happy to convert it to a king bed (two twin mattresses side-by-side). While it is usually an 11 year old girl's room, we can also change the sheets and bedding to be a more neutral color, if you prefer. There is a full bathroom on the top floor. Of course you are also welcome to use the newly-renovated main-floor bathroom, another shared bathroom, as your primary bathroom, as some of our guests have done. Large, fenced-in, quiet backyard. Enjoy your morning coffee outdoors or soak in the delightful mid-day sun on the patio. Patio also includes bbq grill. Our basement includes free laundry facilities. It's easy to navigate, and if you are out and about, you can access it from your phone. You will also receive discounts to popular SF attractions, including Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour and Cal Academy of Sciences. ABOUT US We are a married couple, with two children. We have traveled the world and were particularly grateful for the generosity of the many hosts who opened up their homes to us, often demonstrating their desire for us to love and enjoy their city and country. Our hopes, at that time, was that one day, we would own our own home, and meet and host visitors from all over. In 2011 we moved from NYC to San Francisco. We bought our dream home in September, 2012. However, we love having guests, and especially enjoy seeing our children interact with our "new friends who are visiting". We also love San Francisco and enjoy recommending our favorite activities and helping our guests with any questions they may have. Best time to chat is when we are eating breakfast or dinner.
