It's the ideal blend of seclusion and convenience, providing a cozy and peaceful retreat. (The Lodge is NOT a shared space, was utilized as such in the summer months for glamping guests) The space Basecamp Lodge with it's one- of- a-kind style, the warm exposed beams of the lodge invite you in where an open concept fully equipped kitchen/dining area is the heart of the kitchen. Bring your snow shoes or sleds and enjoy a winter getaway exploring our trails. Cozy up by the wood burning stove or enjoy a game of foosball or table chess for some old school entertainment. Burke mountain is under 24 minutes away and the town of St. Johnsbury has some shops worth visiting and restaurants if you want to explore the area. Basecamp Lodge renovated from a renowned distillery known as "Dunc's Mill" operated by Duncan Holiday a master distiller, now available in town "The St. Johnsbury Distillery" stepping inside feels like a romantic & well appointed speakeasy from long ago. Enjoy delicious food and the original mixed rum drinks made famous by Duncan himself. - 12 minutes to the quaint town of St. Johnsbury - 23 miles to Skiing at Burke Mountain, -30minutes to Littleton, N.H. Guest access The lodge is your full private space during your stay. This is not a shared space during the fall and winter season 10/20-5/1 Other things to note We live on a well maintained dirt road and AWD in winter is a must. Our driveway leading to Basecamp Lodge is a half mile and you will pass through a gate with a code prior to reaching your destination. Our roads are well maintained in winter however there can be delays in plowing until snow stops and we will always provide weather alerts.
