Description
Superb 18thC, cosy cottage on the cobbled streets of Dent with fabulous views. The comfortable lounge boasts a wood burner, 2 seater recliner and smart TV. The vintage kitchen has kept its original charm, while being well equipped with modern conveniences including a washing machine and dishwasher. The master bedroom boasts views of the village church and hills beyond, and has a super wide double bed and high spec mattress. Bedroom 2 is a small bedroom with a single bed and views to Combe Scar. The space Sunnyside cottage is in the picturesque village of Dent, on the westside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are 2 real ale pubs in the village, coffee shops / cafes and the Heritage centre dedicated to the history of Dentdale. There is also a village shop stocking all your essential supplies. A haven for walkers and cyclists, explore the Dales Way on your doorstep, and only a short drive away; Rise Hill, Combe Scar and the 3 peaks; Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen y Ghent, or choose to cycle through the rolling hills on the NCR68. The village of Dent is a great location for visiting and exploring other local places of interest, such as Ribblehead Viaduct, Ingleton and Hawes, where you can visit the Wensleydale creamery. Another great way to enjoy the stunning Yorkshire Dales scenery is by train on the Settle/Carlisle line, accessed at Dent Station; the highest mainland train station in England at 1150ft above sea level. From here you can travel to that famous Ribblehead Viaduct, Settle and Skipton. Other things to note Pets The property may not be suitable for dogs, due to no private outside space. However, Pets will be considered on request at £20 towards cleaning fee, and no more than 1 dog (or 2 smaller dogs) due to the space. Please make a request of this prior to booking where more information and discussed further. Parking in the village. There is a few parking spaces directly oppose the cottage, although these go very quickly. There is also a pay and display village car park or free side streets parking.
