This architectural beauty is a light filled Modernist Home in a mid-century pocket of Lower Plenty, with close proximity to Eltham and Montmorency. A modest house set amongst the trees and surrounded by birds and wildlife. The modernist home was built by Fasham Johnson, and is located amongst a pocket of significant mid-century properties including others by Alistair Knox and Charles Duncan. A two bedroom house all on one level with two full bathrooms / ensuites and a north facing balcony. The space Our beautiful, bright home is filled with natural light all day long and has most of the windows facing east and north. Its a long and narrow house filled with mid century furniture and has a number of places to hang out in with great views of trees, birds and the wildlife. The lounge room has a large and very comfortable 3 m long couch with a projector which is viewed on the wall (Projector is great quality and has most streaming platforms) Both of the bedrooms have wool carpet, curtains and separate bathrooms complete with toilet, basin and shower. Adjacent to the kitchen is a large outdoor undercover area to sit for meals, relax or play! The house is set up for small children- with a cot available. There is also a separate laundry with washing machine and area to hang clothes outside. We are walking distance (5mins) to the Lower Plenty strip of shops, offering coffee shop, supermarket, Thai restaurants and a gym. Or a 20 minute walk to Main street at Montmorency. Guest access The Guests have access to the single level house- there is a downstairs basement which is not accessible and used for storage and an additional workspace. Other things to note Please note that the house is set close to our neighbors on either side but there is an empty site behind us and a lot of wildlife including birds, spiders and possums that you might see or encounter. It is also relatively quiet so often there are noises from wildlife in the night that can be heard.
