Woodlands Luxury Lake Log Cabin

We invite you to come for a relaxed stay at our luxury log cabins, complete with a wood fired hot tub and fire-pit in your own private garden. Set amongst 24 acres of private land, this retreat offers quiet trail walks, nature watching in a mini woodland, around a small lake and across peaceful grassy fields. The cabin has high ceilings, a log burner and comfy beds for you to curl up in. We are pet friendly 🐶♥️ *We require a safety deposit of £50, which is explained in the “property” section* The space Our cabins are single story, well-insulated and built entirely out of wood for an authentic feel. There are two large double bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a standard double. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower and toilet. Both rooms are fully furnished. The kitchen is well equipped with a coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine and oven. It is featured in an open plan living and dining room with exceptionally high-ceilings, lending an airy feel. Wi-fi is included and set up for the large 55" smart TV. On the weather-proof porch there is a dining table set, allowing al-fresco dining even in the worst of British summers. ⚠️ We offer plastic glasses to use outside for the hot tub, however we have continued to experience a lot of damage to glasses, plates, hot tubs and towels, costing us a lot in repair and maintenance. Consequently we ask kindly for a £50 deposit before check-in, which will be returned to you within 48 hours of check-out if no damage has occurred. This will be requested via Airbnb and completely managed on this platform :) ⚠️ Guest access You will have access to the entire cabin, it's private garden and hot tub. The rest of the 24 acres are free for you to explore for walks and nature watching. Other things to note We kindly ask you to respect and take care of the nature and wildlife on our grounds, this means no littering and no feeding the fish or geese/moor hens/herons. As a general rule we encourage observation but discourage direct interaction or any kind of disturbance. If you bring pets, please make sure they are well trained or kept on a leash if they like to chase other animals. Please make sure to pick up and dispose of your pet’s droppings. Our holiday rentals are an escape to the quiet sounds of nature, therefore we ask you to be mindful of volume if you have neighbours in the surrounding cabins. We want you to have a good time so feel free to play music, dance, chat and laugh but all at an appropriate level. Please respect the cabin as if it were your own home. Our cleaner works very hard so we would appreciate it if you could make sure that everything is tidy and all your washing up is done before you leave. Ideally the property will be left in a similar state as when you entered it. If anything breaks accidentally please alert either Paul or Chrissie as soon as you can. Parties and guests are allowed within reason. Please let Paul and Chrissie know if this is your intention. We understand the joys of living spontaneously so we are able to be flexible in most cases. Only the original guests listed on the booking are allowed to stay overnight unless otherwise agreed by the owners. If extra guests stay overnight it may incur an additional charge. Absolutely no camp fires allowed unless in allocated firepits. The area is safe however for your own peace of mind we ask that you ensure doors are locked and windows closed if you are to leave the grounds for any extended period of time. Most importantly, our no1 rule: ENJOY YOURSELVES AND HAVE FUN! -------- THE HOT TUB -------- !!! WARNING !!! PLEASE BEWARE OF THE HOT METAL CHIMNEY WHEN OPERATING THE HOT TUB The manufacturer recommends taking a shower prior to entering the hot tub to prevent the water from becoming cloudy. We empty, clean and re-fill the hot tubs every 3 days due to the water being completely chemical free (and better for your skin)! You must provide your own kiln dried logs. The cheapest place to buy them is at Home Bargains in Newark (see local information guide). USAGE INSTRUCTIONS: It takes approximately 2 hours to heat up the tub to a temperature of 37C. KILN DRIED LOGS TO BE USED ONLY. NEVER use charcoal or anything else in the burner for your own safety. We will provide you with detailed instructions in a welcome pack during your stay.
