Villa Cempaka, the heart of Gunung Paradis Retreat, blends traditional Balinese colonial style with modern luxury. This two-story villa offers five spacious, beautifully decorated bedrooms, four bathrooms (partly open-air), a living room, and a fully equipped kitchen. The space The grand stone and wood-carved front door of Villa Cempaka beckons guests into a spacious living room with a dining table that can accommodate up to 14 guests. To the right, two guest bedrooms share an open-air bathroom and a separate toilet. On the left, glass panels and French doors lead to the villa-wide terrace, offering breathtaking views from the Bali Sea across the Munduk-Mayong valley to three volcano tops. All floors on this level are made of a tropical hardwood called Bankirai. Continuing past the guest rooms towards the kitchen, which features a beautiful roof-covered garden terrace with a fish pond, one encounters the double entrance door to the spacious master bedroom. The master bedroom has a private connection to a hammam-like open-air bathroom fully covered with soft stone from Java. The front terrace offers plenty of spots for lounging. Beneath this living space, there are two spacious garden suites with indoor bathrooms and a dining gazebo (known as a Bale-Bengong in Bali) for each. Both pavilions provide a beautiful view over the Mayong-Munduk Valley. Villa Cempaka's spacious multi-level backyard boasts a variety of tropical plants, bushes, and trees. Guest access All spaces on the first and second floors are solely and privately reserved for Villa Cempaka's guests, except the garage and the adjacent service area. Guests can also use the garden for a walk and the swimming pool area to relax. Other things to note Gunung Paradis Retreat supports eco-friendly behavior. We try to minimize our carbon footprint by reducing the use of electricity. That is why we try to convince our guests that it is generally not necessary to use air conditioning unless personal reasons make that inevitable. We avoid using plastics unless when doing that hampers the service our guests require from us. We practice separated waste management and split our waste into organic, plastic, metal, paper/carton, and the rest. We only change bedding and bathroom towels after three days if you booked a more extended stay than that.
