The Rut Hut on Winslow Hill

Peaceful & centrally-located cabin in Benezette, directly across from the elk visitor center. Sit back, relax & enjoy this open space cabin with living room, dining area, full kitchen, 2 king bedrooms. Sit outside under our covered porch & listen to the sounds of nature including bugling elk & howling coyotes. You may even get a glimpse of a bull elk, a cow and her babies. If you are a nature lover or just needing time away from your busy life come stay with us at the “Rut Hut” on Winslow hill. The space Living Room with TV, Lazy boy reclining sofa, reclining chair and 2 rocking chairs. Dining area with seating for (4), additional bar seating. Full kitchen with a bar and sitting for 2. Full size refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Includes toaster oven, crock pot, blender, toaster, Keurig coffee maker w/ both drip and K-cups. Kitchen is equip with pots and pans, dishes, and silverware. (2) Bedrooms each with a king size bed and TV. Bedroom #1 is on the lower level bedroom with an attached private bathroom with stand up shower. Bedroom #2 is upstairs with detached full bathroom with tub/shower. Covered porch with patio fire table and (2) cushioned chairs. Additional outside seating available. Guest access This rental is for the entire cabin. Other things to note The water is high is iron and is treated with a system consisting of an iron filter, water softener & a UV light. We provide (1) gallon of water per day for guests use if they prefer to use this water in lieu of the well water. We also have a water dispenser for drinking water. Due to this system, there can not be any running water between the hours of 2:00am and 5:00am. The toilets can still be used but please refrain from flushing until after 5:00am if possible. This will allow the filtering system to flush and keep the water clear. At this time, the indoor fireplace install is not completed. We have provided a fire table on the porch for evening fires. We use streaming for TV and sometimes the internet is spotty. If the internet is not working unplug the modem for 30 seconds and then plug back in. When you see 3 green lights it should be functioning. Please remember you are in a remote mountainous area so relax and enjoy the outdoors.
