Adventure awaits you in this rustic getaway. Set in the rolling hills of Devon, in the sleepy hamlet of Newbuildings, 2 miles from the village of Sandford with its village shop and two pubs, just 10 minutes from Crediton. A short drive to Dartmoor and 30 minutes to Exeter. Peaceful and quiet location. Lovely walks on your doorstep, with views to Dartmoor and Exmoor. Dark sky at night for those who like to watch the stars. Cosy cottage with wood burning fire, and plenty of charm. The space Lovely 2 bedroom cottage set in a very quiet location set back from the road and accessible via a footpath. Downstairs is a living room with wood burning stove , and access onto the patio and small garden area with table and chairs. Fully equipped kitchen with full height ceiling into the eaves, downstairs bathroom with sink, wc and shower over the bath, and bedroom with a king size bed. Upstairs is another living room with work space, a further bedroom with king size bed and optional single bed, and separate w/c. Formally a milking parlour, then a pottery, the cottage is now a quiet retreat off the beaten track. It still retains some original features such as beams, which add to its charm. The cottage has been decorated in a simple fashion, and has a number of hand made touches, including the curtains and bespoke buttoned over quilts on the beds. Beautiful views can be seen across the glorious Devon countryside from Dartmoor in one direction and Exmoor in the other. The Two Moors way lies to the west, and there are numerous footpaths to explore around the area. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Guest access The whole cottage is available. Other things to note The cottage is available as self catering, and breakfast can be arranged at an extra charge per person. Logs are available for the wood burning stove at £5 per basket payable on arrival.
