River Bend Guest Suite is a clean, comfortable, peaceful retreat for up to two adults. Located between downtown Westerly and its beaches, the 600 sq ft suite has a private keyed entry and features an adjustable Nectar king-sized bed, vaulted ceiling, fireplace, ceiling fan and en-suite bath. Amenities include an eating area, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, bottled water, snacks, internet and smart TV! Guests may use deck, outdoor shower and yard during stay. No pets! No indoor smoking! The space The guest suite is a rear addition to a private home on a quiet street, across from historic River Bend Cemetery, with a scenic view of the Pawcatuck River. There is a gravel driveway that provides off-street parking for up to two cars. It’s a mile and a half to downtown Westerly with its wonderful bars, restaurants, shops, train station, Wilcox Park, United Theatre and Granite Theatre. It’s three and a half miles to Misquamicut State Beach, and four miles to historic Watch Hill and the Ocean House. Guest access Upon arrival, guests will walk a stone path 50 feet from the driveway to the rear deck, and then access the private guest suite through an entry door off the upper deck. There are a total of 2 plus 2 steps to climb. Guests will receive a text message from the owner in advance of check-in regarding check-in time and details. Unless other arrangements are agreed upon, check-in time is 2:00 pm, or anytime thereafter, and check-out time is 11:00 am. During the stay, guests will have private access to the guest suite, outdoor deck, outdoor shower and yard area. Use of the outdoor fire pit requires approval from the host and is weather dependent. During your stay The guest suite offers a private accommodation with overnight sleeping for up to two adults. There are no additional guest accommodations on the property. The hosts live on the premises in the main house. They will provide guests full privacy, and only interact with guests to the extent desired. Guests may call or text the host at any time with questions or if an issue arises. Other things to note Besides offering proximity to downtown Westerly and its beaches, the guest suite is 20 minutes from the restaurants, bars and shops in Stonington Borough, and 30 minutes from downtown Mystic, Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Village and the historic Mystic Seaport. If you’re into gambling or glitz, the Mohegan Sun Casino and the Foxwoods Casino, with its newly opened Great Wolf Water Park, are a 30 minute drive away. New London is a 25 minute drive and Newport, with its famed mansions, is just 45 minutes away. The guest suite is also proximate to area colleges, including URI (30 minutes) and major employers like Electric Boat in Groton (30 minutes).
