The space Nestled in the heart of the Peak District Hartington village, "Peak Cottage in the Market Place" at Hartington offers a blend of modern comfort and historical charm. Perfect for families, this beautifully refurbished 18th-century home invites you to unwind and explore. Inside, you’ll find a spacious open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. The cosy lounge features a corner sofa, a charming window seat, and a smart TV for your entertainment. Enjoy meals at the dining table for four or grab a quick bite at the breakfast bar. The underfloor heating and electric fire add a touch of warmth and comfort. The fully equipped kitchen boasts cooking utensils, pots, pans, a single electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, an integrated fridge, and a small top box freezer for ice. For larger freezer needs and laundry, you'll find a freezer and washing machine in the rear outbuilding The cottage has two inviting bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a king bed and ample storage, while the second bedroom features a king bed that can be split into two twin beds for versatile sleeping arrangements ( bed size are 2ft 6 inches which are best suited for children and may not be ideal for adults). Both rooms come with smart TVs for added convenience. The bathroom upstairs includes a refreshing shower cubicle. Step outside to discover a small private garden to the side of the cottage and a rear open courtyard area. Relax in the private garden, or take advantage of the parking space available at the rear. PLEASE NOTE: 1. We cannot guarantee the parking space at the rear. However there is pleanty of free parking, all just 1 or 2 minutes walk away. For example, around the duck pond, along the lane near the village hall, outside the British Legion, and in the free parking areas in the village centre. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a space nearby. 2. Please be aware the neighbours have a right of way through the rear courtyard area but not through the private garden to the side. Visit :- * The famous Hartington Cheese Shop for a taste of the region’s finest cheeses. * Enjoy a pint at one of the welcoming pubs, such as the Devonshire Arms or the Charles Cotton Hotel. * Indulge in delicious treats at the village tea rooms. * Pick up fresh produce at the farm shop. Stroll through the charming streets and take in the scenic beauty of this quintessential Peak District village. Guest access You have access to the whole house including the outside storage area which houses the washer and freezer. Other things to note Things to know before you book We're delighted that you're considering staying with us! To ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible, please note the following: ▶ Little ones: We're happy to provide a high chair, however, we do not supply a travel cot, so please bring your own if needed. We also have a small baby bath that fits in our shower cubicle (we only have a shower). The baby provided is only suitable for newborns and very young babies, but not for toddlers. Please remember to bring bedding and any other safety equipment you might require for children. ▶ Four-legged friends: Sorry we do NOT accept dogs or pets of any kind at Peak Cottage. ▶ Access: Our neighbours do have right of way access through the communal rear courtyard to take out their bins. However, the garden to the side of the cottage is completely private. ▶ Parking: Although there is a parking space at the rear of the property for Peak Cottage guests. We cannot guarantee this parking space as we do not own this land. Please do not park in front of the property. However there is pleanty of free parking, all just 1 or 2 minutes walk away. If you do not agree with our Ts & Cs you can cancel your booking ▶ Security Deposit: We request a £100 security deposit which will be places as a "hold" on your credit card. This will be released after your stay once you have returned the keys, when checks are completed and no damage reported.
