Unwind after a busy day, connect with nature, learn about bees or even discover the artist in you. Our unique, stylish, and comfortable two bedroom, detached guest house is located in an area of outstanding beauty, directly facing woodland. And yet it is a 10 min walk to a train station with direct connection to London Waterloo (30 min). During your stay, you are welcome to witness bee keeping activities and take mixed-media art and resin workshops. The space Artb'n'Bee Guest House OVERVIEW: ○ Two-storey, two-bedroom detached building (72m²) ○ Located in beautiful, leafy Surrey, on the edge of Prey Heath, an Area of Scientific Interest and Outstanding Natural Beauty ○ Situated 15m from the main house, where the owners live ○ Features a private entrance and separate patio. GROUND FLOOR Open-plan lounge and kitchen: ○ Corner sofa bed ○ TV with Netflix ○ Gym station Fully equipped kitchen: ○ Dishwasher ○ Two-ring induction hob ○ Washing machine ○ Microwave oven (also functions as conventional oven) ○ Fridge (please note there is no freezer) ○ Airfryer (large, dingle drawer) ○ Ice-making machine ○ Kettle, toaster, air fryer ○ Coffee maker (Dolce Gusto capsules) ○ Complimentary essentials: tea, coffee, olive oil, seasonings & spices FIRST FLOOR Accessible via spiral staircase (plus an external staircase with balcony) Two bedrooms: ○ Bedroom 1: UK King-size bed (150 cm) ○ Bedroom 2: UK King-size bed (150 cm), can be split into two singles (please note the single beds are 75cm wide) ○ Bedroom views towards the woods Bathroom: ○ Compact but fully equipped ○ Digital shower, sink, and toilet ○ Toiletries (body wash, shampoo) OUTDOOR PATIO: ○ Lighting ○ BBQ ○ Outdoor furniture NATURAL SURROUNDINGS ○ Heathland and woodland walks on the doorstep ○ Grazing cattle or donkeys on the heath in summer ○ Possible sightings of deer, pheasants, and birds of prey ○ Two beehives on-site, typically checked Fridays before dusk in summer ART & CREATIVITY ○ Decorated with mixed-media art, available for sale (decor may change) ○ Art studio for workshops is located in the main house. Combine with Newlands Corner or visit Denbies Wine Estate) – 35 min drive ○ Shere (a quaint Surrey village where the film The Holiday was filmed) – 20 min drive ○ Wisley Gardens (a flagship garden of the Royal Horticultural Society, with large plant collections, a huge greenhouse with tropical plants, educational centre, lovely walks, cafés, garden centre etc.) – 20 min drive ○ Brookwood Cemetery (a huge cemetery within a Grade I listed park and garden; beautiful and tranquil, many historic and military graves) – 10 min drive Guest access Guest have their own patio with garden furniture and bbq. The use of the main garden with a trampoline, and the woodland space with a space for a bonfire outside the Artb'n'Bee - by arrangement. Please enquire in advance or when you arrive. Other things to note If you would like to book a mixed-media art or resin workshop, please enquire in advance. Our guests receive 10% off workshops and children go half price.
