Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. Landscape is a Heritage listed Homestead on a delightful farm setting. The house has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (2 ensuite) and an enormous living space. The pool area and wonderfully kept gardens enjoy magnificent views of the Goulburn River and the Great Dividing Range. The space The original homestead was built in 1838 and occupied by Joseph Hawdon an "overlander" from NSW until 1856. The Jamieson brothers leased part of the Tallarook run and built Tallarook house from stone. The front part of the present homestead still has its original shake roof under the present roof. The homestead was extended to its present size in 1862. Landscape was later occupied by the industrialist Essington Lewis in his later years until his death in 1961. It was again extensively renovated in the year 2000 but remains listed as a heritage site on the Victorian Heritage database. Guest access Guests can use all of the Landscape Garden Grounds and can gain access to the 'Rail Trail through a gate which is down the hill to the North of the property. The stables, workshop areas and gate house, to the South of the property are part of the working farm and are therefore 'out of bounds'. Other things to note Please note that we do not allow open fires, either within the house, or the gardens.
