Description

This quintessential Cotswold cottage is located in the heart of an idyllic village just outside of Bampton & 4 miles from Burford. Located 1.5 hours from London, the cottage is perfect for those seeking a charming Cotswolds getaway. Constructed c.1847, it retains many original features including wonderful beams and stone walls. More recently it has been extensively and sympathetically renovated to a high standard, decorated with a thoughtful mix of contemporary & chic antique furnishings. The space Jasmine Cottage is accessed via a shared gravel driveway, and is located between both Manor Cottage and Ivy Cottage. Beyond it’s private front gate, you’ll step into a wonderful cottage garden. Access to the property itself is via the side entrance door, where you’ll find a Cloakroom for boots and coats, leading to a double height Kitchen/Dining area offering a stunning, light-filled open plan space, with additional access to the private garden. The ground floor of the cottage also comprises of a Living Room with a Wood Burning Stove, for cosy log fires, as well as access to the family Bathroom with a fixed shower and flexible hose fixture. On the first floor, you will find spacious accommodation for four guests, with two Bedrooms (both offering double beds & one with seating areas). The master bedroom with en-suite (toilet and sink) is located on the second floor, accommodating 2 further guests in a king size bed. The cottage sleeps 6 guests in total. Please note that the quintessential country cottage style staircases may be a little steep for those with mobility issues and one of the first floor bedrooms is smaller than the other. Jasmine Cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Alvescot, Bampton. Our guests are also able to use the village tennis court, which is a 2-minute walk from the cottage and also offers a secure children's play area. The cottage at a glance: Sleeps six guests, Family bathroom with shower, Master en suite with king size bed, Second and third bedroom with double beds, Double height kitchen/dining area, Wood Burning Stove, Private garden, fast WiFi, Smart TV, On street parking, Minimum of a two night stay. There are also many footpaths and walking routes around the Oxfordshire Cotswolds including a walk from Alvescot to the River Thames.
