Cozy and clean private bedroom and bath in Steele Creek, 15 minutes from the airport. Head out the front door and around the block for access to a mile-long walking trail, take a 5-minute drive to the McDowell Nature Preserve for countless hiking trails, access to the river, and picnic areas, or head 15 minutes down the road to the Carowinds amusement park. The space KITCHEN You are welcome to use the kitchen, including all appliances and dishes. Coffee, creamers, spices, and filtered water available for your use, but we ask that you procure your own food and drink. TV The living room TV has Netflix and Roku free. There is no TV in the bedroom. LAUNDRY Washer, dryer, and detergent available for use during your stay. BACK YARD Patio furniture with a view, umbrella for shade, and the relaxing sound of the nearby pond. WALKING TRAIL The neighborhood has a lovely mile-long walking trail which passes directly behind the house. During your stay One of us works from home, so someone will likely be around to help with anything you need during the weekdays. The office is upstairs, tucked out of the way, so there is no need to be concerned about making noise. Other things to note PETS We have two cats named Ginger and Kiwi. They are very friendly, so feel free to approach them and give them scritches. We also have a pet ball python named Lava. His tank is located in a private room. He will not be taken out of his tank during your stay unless you communicate that you are comfortable with snakes. Our neighbor has a lab mix named Merlin. He has access to our yard and sometimes comes over to play. GUEST PETS AND SERVICE ANIMALS While our cat Ginger loves humans, she does not tolerate other cats and dogs. Therefore, we do not allow guests to bring pets. We have obtained an official exemption from Airbnb to also disallow service animals. If you have a service animal that is not a cat or dog, we are more than happy to make accommodations. ADDITIONAL GUESTS Guests not included in the original reservation are not approved to visit, stay overnight, or enter the property. Exceptions can be made at the discretion of the hosts but are not guaranteed - please speak with us first.
