Fairy House

La Casa de las Hadas is located in a magical and powerful place. In the middle of an enchanted forest is this small cottage that invites you to rest and connection with the magic of nature. Hear the hummingbird buzz in the mornings, immerse yourself in the mystique of your own fairy-filled garden near a small river, guarded on both sides by the ancient spirits of the mountains. ATTENTION: we live in the countryside and in communion with all beings that inhabit the same space. The space The house has one bedroom, plus a salon with a fold out bed, a full kitchen, an outdoor dining-room/patio where you can dine under the gaze of the mountains. It can accommodate 4 people. We call this the house of the fairies because there have been sightings of these magical creatures in the area around the house. Their presence can be felt, whether you consider them actual beings, or simply pleasant imaginary dalliance. We and we have created a spaces here for both humans and fairies to relax and connect with nature. There is a place to gather around the fire at night and gaze up into the stars over the mountains. There is also a temascal (sweat lodge) which can be arranged, along with massage service. If you are interested in exploring the local trails, including the trail to the birthplace of Quetzalcoatl (the Aztec feathered serpent god) we can connect you with a local guide. The House of The Fairies sits in a place of immense and ancient power. The original inhabitants of this land came here to leave offerings and recount ancient legends of the connection of all things. At the entrance to this magical space is the House of the Fairies, in its own forest garden near a small river, guarded on two sides by the ancient spirits of the mountains. Guest access Guests have full access to the house, and there are also extensive gardens where guests are free to wander, respecting the private space of other houses in the compound. Other things to note The house comes with free coffee which is grown on the land, and processed by local women This a great way to sip the spirit of the place. There is a large natural area around the house where it is pleasant to take in the sun and enjoy the mountain views. Across the street from the entrance to Ehecalli is “La Puerta” an ancient ceremonial site where legend has it that a door in the rock would open on new years’ eve and one person would pass into a land of rich abundance, ensuring for his tribe prosperity in the new year.
