The Magical Escape in Wasilla- Quiet, Clean & Cozy

This whimsical and sophisticated apartment has lots of magical touches! It has a private entrance with keypad and is located on a quiet street for ultimate relaxation. It has a full kitchenette (plus stove and range) and full bath, so that you feel completely at home during your stay. Because Alaska is an enormous state, here are some estimated driving times to help you plan your trip: Anchorage Intl. Airport - 1 hr, 7 min Hatcher Pass - 30 min Palmer - 25 min Talkeetna - 1 hr, 15 min The space This private apartment has 1 queen bed, and an open-concept living space complete with couch, TV, and fireplace. A WiFi booster is included to ensure optimum connection if you plan to work during your trip. The kitchenette is fully equipped for your cooking needs, with baking sheets, cutting boards, mixing bowls, a handheld blender, colander, and an assortment of pots, pans, and skillets. Basic spices are also provided. We provide a Keurig, with coffee pods and individual creamers. We also provide a moka pot and a reusable Keurig insert if you choose to bring your favorite ground coffee, instead. The living room is cozy and perfect for relaxation, with a couch with cupholders, a cozy reading chair, a fold-out table in addition to the coffee table, and an assortment of coloring books, puzzles, and a wide selection of books to read. The Smart TV allows you to log in to your own streaming platforms, so that all of your favorite programs are right at your fingertips. The full bathroom includes a washer and dryer, and we provide basic toiletries, including packaged toothbrushes, in case you forget to bring yours from home! A handheld steamer, iron, and small ironing board are tucked in the closet to ensure your clothes look their best. The bedroom has room-darkening shades to block out the midnight sun, and an optional duvet-covered weighted blanket is stored in the drawers that can be used in addition to the lightweight comforter provided. We also provide a heater and fan, to ensure perfect conditions for sleep. Guest access This private apartment is located on the far right of the home, with two garage bays in between, meaning there are no shared walls with the main home to ensure you have a completely peaceful and relaxing stay. The apartment is accessed with a keypad, and you can set your personal code before your stay. Other things to note The driveway is short, but steep. Hatcher Pass: Enjoy an easy and rewarding hike to an alpine lake via Gold Cord trail, or explore Independence Mine. The hike offers panoramic views from within the mountains, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Our children have been completing this hike independently since they were 3 years old. Explore the Matanuska-Susitna Valley: Discover the beautiful landscapes of the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, with opportunities for fishing, hiking, and exploring charming small towns. Experience the Iditarod Trail: Learn about the famous Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race and visit the Iditarod Museum in Wasilla.
