Stargazer Lakehouse

Enjoy staying at the Stargazer Lakehouse! Nestled in the heart of the Santiam Canyon - close to summer lake fun and winter skiing while surrounded by the beauty of the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness Area. This clean and modern new home is centrally located in Detroit, OR with easy access to the lake and Kane's Marina. Come enjoy the comfort and convenience of this home away from home! The space The home was built in 2024 and is cozy but modern. On the main floor there is an open space living room, dining room, and kitchen. The gas fireplace makes for a great gathering place in the house. The kitchen is fully stocked with all items necessary for food preparation. The primary bedroom, with its own bathroom, is on the main floor as well as an oversized laundry room. There is another half bathroom off the living room. On the second floor there are two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and another large living space that has a queen size sofa bed. There are three smart TVs in the home, along with an X-Box Series S gaming system, and lots of fun board games for the family. The property has plenty of parking for at least 3 cars. There are numerous spots on front and back decks for your enjoyment. The firepit is a great place to relax and enjoy time together! There is an outdoor shower in the backyard that can be used in the warmer months only. The home is close to everything in Detroit. It sits across from the Community Center and City Park making it a great location for events that are held there. It takes less than 5 min to walk to the lake, grocery store, or food trucks! Guest access You have access to entire home and property except for a locked owner's office and the shed. Other things to note Detroit Lake is a reservoir, and the water level is controlled by the Army Corp of Engineers. The lake is typically full from May through August and draws down in the fall and winter. This varies year to year. If you’re looking to launch a boat, check on the lake level ahead of time! Please note that it is located in an area that is rebuilding and so there is frequently construction noise.
