Welcome to Tingala House! The house of imagination and wonder, your home away from home in North Siargao. It's perfect for a solo traveller, friends, digital nomad or a couple seeking to spend quality time up north whether it’s a weekend getaway or a longer term exploration while being able to enjoy a sense of comfort and home. It's a cozy space where you can enjoy privacy and me time, cook, create, all the while a stone’s throw away from Burgos' main establishments and North’s best surf spots. The space The house was an old Filippino house that has been recently made over and reimagined in a way that marries native design with contemporary amenities and aesthetics. It’s a fully furnished house that comes with 1 bedroom, a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen (stove, non-stick pots and pans, kitchen appliances, refrigerator, plates and utensils, kettle, water filter dispenser), a simple semi-outdoor bathroom and a mosquito-proof front porch where you can chill and enjoy that morning coffee or receive friends in an evening gathering without getting attacked by mozzies. The house comes with amenities such as: hot water shower, Starlink Wi-Fi, modern kitchen appliances, AC in the bedroom that keeps you cool, and towels. **About the location** The house is situated off the main road at the end of Burgos Town, where a corner convenience store is a literal 30 second walk away. It is just a few min. away from Burgos’ main surf spots (Inner Tube, Angel and Apex) and 10 min. away from other surf spots further north. The Burgos town market is a 10 minute walk away, where there’s a selection of fresh seafood, meats and vegetables daily. In the other direction towards the hill, you can take a hike in the morning or enjoy a nice walk in nature at your own leisure. Burgos has a thriving community with lots of eateries (Lokal Snackbar being 10 min. away, Shimalyn’s and Beshie’s local carinderiya 5 min. away) and amenities like laundry services, local bakery and fruit and vegetable markets. Guest access The entire home. You have a private kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and outdoor porch. Other things to note Things to keep in mind: - Don’t be surprised if you see little insects and animals like geckos and spiders crawling around as we are living in the heart of nature. We try to keep the house as clean as possible but inevitably nature calls. - We don’t have a washing machine in the house, but there are a few very affordable laundry services in town that you can bring your laundry to. Please reach out if you need recommendation to places. - It’s a small town with not much happening in the evening. Please be mindful of our neighbors and keep noise levels down past 10pm. - We are surrounded by rooster farms in this town, so you will be hearing rooster cockles throughout the day. - People wake up very early in the morning to start work so there is a bit of traffic noise outside the house starting around 7-8am. It's perfect if you are an early riser especially for surf, but if not, be warned! **DISCLAIMER** This house is situated near the jungle, there are little insects and animals running around the house from time to time. If you are looking for a hotel standard stay, this is not the home for you!
