Koumos 2. Cretan traditional rural residence

Traditional renovated village farm house, in a small settlement, in the Cretan countryside overlooking the sea. Visitors can enjoy the peace and quiet of Cretan nature, away from the noise and crowds of mass tourism. The Cretan village house is full of history and tradition. Living in it challenges the visitor to imagine the daily life of Cretan older generations and local traditions. The space The accommodation is intended for guests who: Instead of mass tourism, pool villas and luxury accommodation with many facilities and amenities, they prefer to stay in humble, small rural accommodation in the Cretan countryside to get in touch with nature and imagine (or to experience?) the living of the Cretans in other times. They like to listen only to the sounds of nature and see the stars clearly at night They want to experience the life of the local villagers on vacation and explore picturesque alleys and landscapes They want to experience living in a settlement with one permanent resident and 14 houses (half abandoned), but only a few minutes away from the city, shops, entertainment-dining areas, the airport and the port. They want to live in a space with the characteristics of the old rural village Cretan house and if they wish ... they can experiment with what it's like at night without electricity (and internet?) with lighting from traditional oil lamps (even if for a while)! They want to indulge in activities in the Cretan nature with a view of the sea (walking, cycling, trail, photography, stargazing, wildlife and flora observation, etc.) They want to enjoy the beautiful beaches of the area, organized or isolated. They wish to taste authentic Cretan dishes made from local products in the nearby tavern or in other selected taverns in the area They want to enjoy the sun, the view, nature, tranquility. Other things to note Due to the house is in the countryside it is normal for the area to have mosquitoes, flies and ants in the summer months. Care should be taken that they do not enter the house. There are screens on the windows for this purpose. Mosquito repellents are provided. It has been disinfected internally and externally. My cats may roam outside in the yard.
