Description
A level higher than glamping. Perfect for nature lovers and people who want a break from everyday life. The former stable in the garden became a tiny house with a pond. A stylish and special place awaits you where you can enjoy every minute. Look forward to relaxation, wonderful hiking trails, birdsong, dragonfly cinema, moments in the forest, an enchanting view of the natural garden, cozy hours by the fire and a deep, restful sleep. The space Your home is the perfect home base for excursions to the surrounding hills, forests and Jura meadows. Anyone who enters our tiny house can feel: the vibes are right here. Simple but stylish and of course lovingly furnished, you can also simply relax comfortably with a book on the sofa, watch life in the pond with a glass of wine and have deep conversations or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Culinary delights can be enjoyed in the nearby restaurants, with a picnic or by delivery service. The tiny house consists of two rooms: The large lounge and the small living room. Attention, the lounge is not isolated! There you will find a Swedish stove, a cozy sofa, a rudimentary kitchen (coffee maker, tea maker, toaster, mini fridge and sink) with a table for sitting and picnicking. The room offers beautiful views of the hills and fields. The smaller part, the living room, is completely isolated and expanded and you will find the toilet, a rain shower, a sitting area overlooking the pond and garden as well as a bed alcove with a comfortable mattress and cozy bedding for the most restful sleep you have ever had. We are in an idyllic small village in the countryside and normally you will hear mainly birdsong, cowbells and the wind in the leaves. In the immediate vicinity are both a restaurant and the village shop, a bakery, as well as a flower shop and the Postbus stop that takes you to Balsthal or towards Jura. The Thal Nature Park invites you to extensive hikes through the Jurassic hills or exciting bike tours with views of the Alps. In Balsthal there is the "Thalstation", where you can get advice on all activities. Of course, there are also flyers with information and activities in our tiny house. Guest access The entire place is reserved for you. A parking space is at the front of the property and there is an easy, ground-level access to the tiny house. Down at the tiny house there is a small seating area where you can enjoy the evening sun in private. We are in the main house, which is next to the tiny house. The lower and upper terrace at the house and the rest of the garden are private. Of course, we'll give you a little tour of your part so you can find your way around. Other things to note There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. The Thal Nature Park offers beautiful hiking trails, e-bike trails, picnic areas and mountain restaurants. The Nature Park Bus runs from Good Friday, April 18th. April to the end of October 2025 every Sunday and on general holidays on the scenic second Jura chain. So you can even get up to the surrounding mountains without a car and enjoy the fantastic views. There is also much to see for bird lovers. The forests and hedges are home to hoopoes, woodpeckers, all kinds of tits and many other bird species. The Thal is a hotspot for kites and virtually the breeding ground for all of Europe. Ornithological tours are available regularly. Another highlight is the bison, which have moved into their territory in Welschenrohr on the Sollmatt. Various rangers lead you with interesting knowledge to the large, almost extinct bison. There are many products from regional producers to enjoy: sweet must, cheese, sausage and dried meat products, of course bread and even raspberries to pick yourself. We have numerous brochures and overview maps with information and ideas on what to experience in the area. Feel free to ask us directly, or find current information on the website of the Thal Nature Park if you have any questions.
