Check in. Chill out. Repeat. The space Harbour Sound Apartment is No.5 in the Ballycastle Marine Apartment complex — one of twenty-four built in the 1980s. This isn’t just a place to stay; it’s part of a journey — a story of revival, connection, and coastal living. We’re restoring No.5, which we lovingly call Harbour Sound, to its original glory with an Irish retro eco vibe, blending charm and comfort for your stay. Living Space 🌝 On the ground floor, the open L-shaped kitchen–diner–lounge is bright, spacious, and filled with natural light through oversized sliding patio doors. Kitchen ☕🍕 Equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, 50:50 fridge/freezer, and all utensils for a beachside getaway. Handcrafted ceramic and wooden accessories by award-winning Irish designer Helen James add a special touch. Dining & Lounge 🛋🪑 The dining area seats four, with a retro dresser of glasses for cocktails or mocktails. The lounge offers a generous reclining sofa and chair, designer furnishings, free WiFi, and a 46" smart TV with Netflix and Prime. A dedicated USB-C charging station keeps you powered. Outdoor Space ☘👌 Step outside to your sheltered retreat with vintage cantilever chairs — perfect for relaxing while listening to the harbour or waves at Ballycastle Beach. Bedrooms 🛏 💤 Bedroom 1: Double bed (135cm x 200cm) Bedroom 2: Two single beds (90cm x 200cm) Bedding & Linen 💚 1 guest: Double bed — all to yourself ⭐ 2 guests: Double bed — ready for snuggles or pillow battles 😎 3 guests: Double + single bed — space to avoid wrestling for covers 😊 4 guests: All beds prepared — because four in one bed? A sitcom waiting to happen 🥰 Extra beds can be arranged (£15 per bed, per stay). For stays over 7 nights, fresh linen can be provided mid-stay. Please let us know your preferred setup before arrival, and only use beds prepared for your booking. Bathroom & Extras 🛀 A bathroom with a tub, electric shower, luxury toiletries, and a separate WC. Egyptian cotton towels, bedding, beach towels, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board are provided. Womble Box 🐻 Our quirky “Womble Box” in the hallway cupboard holds lost-and-found treasures from past guests — maybe something you’ll find useful or amusing. A Note on the Journey 🗺 The Ballycastle Marine Apartment complex once featured a country club swimming pool, now in disrepair but visible from the apartments. There are plans to transform this area into luxury apartments, adding a new chapter to its coastal story. We’re proud to be part of this journey and invite you to experience Harbour Sound as it continues to evolve. Guest access Harbour Sound apartment is for your own exclusive use and comes with a private outdoor patio which catches the afternoon/ evening sun. We have installed a new MASTERLOCK Smart connected key safe - which you can access either by combination code or connecting to your phone. Full access details will be provided before you arrive. Other things to note We try to be as flexible as possible with early check-in and late check-out requests. However, we cannot guarantee that either will be available. If you require the extra time, we recommend booking the previous night for an early check-in or an additional night for a late check-out to ensure the accommodation is available when you need it.
