Eclectic Cotswold Flat
Eclectic Cotswold Flat
Description
Explore the Cotswolds from this mid-century styled flat in an 18thC house in the heart of an old English Market town. Stroll into Nailsworth with its gorgeous shops, restaurants, bakers, butchers and cafes or venture a little further - Tetbury, Painswick, Cirencester, Bibury, Cheltenham and Bath are less than 40 mins away! Surrounded by rolling hills, woodland and commons - this area of outstanding natural beauty and hidden gems is ideally situated for walkers, cyclists and poddlers alike :) The space The flat sits within our family home (we’re next door and share a courtyard and driveway) - it’s one of the oldest houses in Nailsworth dating back over 300 years. However, it’s far from pokey with high ceilings and loads of light flooding in through large windows. There is a large double bedroom and King Sized bed, living room/dining room and fully equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, small air fryer, knives pots pans and washing machine - no dishwasher though!). There is also a VERY comfortable double bed sofa in the living room making it suitable for two couples sharing, friends sharing, a small family or just the one of you. One well behaved pet is welcome. The flat is carpeted so if the pet is wet, it needs to stay downstairs until dry. A dog gate and towels will be provided for this, but please bring your own dog bed. There is no direct access to the garden but there are some lovely walks from the flat and many more just a 5 minute drive away. Guests are welcome to chill in the main garden as long as they don’t let our dogs out and don’t mind dogs! Do let me know if you’d like to see how to access it. Guest access The flat is private and self-contained with self check in and its own parking (for one small to medium car). There is plenty of on street parking if required. There is no direct access to a garden, however as mentioned, if guests would like to access the garden they need only ask and I will show them where - we have two barking dogs who don’t bite :) This flat is unfortunately not suitable for those with limited mobility as the main bedroom is on the second floor up a steep staircase and the kitchen and bathroom are on the first floor. Other things to note The flat is centrally located within walking distance from the town of Nailsworth and can be accessed by public transport. If you are driving, there is one parking spot right outside the property for a medium sized car. Please leave space for neighbours to get out. There is also space to park on adjacent roads, there may be a little walk involved but not too much - ask for details. It really is the epicentre of so many to dos in the Cotswolds but equally, it’s a gorgeous little town with plenty to keep you occupied.
