Country Escape Studio Apartment

Our studio apartment offers accommodation for those who appreciate nature and tranquility. With River Derwent views, we are nestled in the hills of Granton. The apartment occupies the ground level of our home, with its own entrance and car park. Includes Queen Bed, foldaway 2 single beds and/or portacot, comfy couch, tv, aircon, wardrobe, kitchenette (toaster, kettle, fridge, microwave, tableware), dining table, separate bathroom, gym, pool, hot tub, BBQ, and courtyard area with outdoor setting. The space The studio apartment occupies the downstairs area of the house. However, it is entirely separate, with its own private car parking area and courtyard with outdoor table and chairs and own BBQ. The accommodation includes a spacious open plan room with queen size bed, fold up beds for 2 children, porta cot for an infant and all linen provided. The room has a comfy couch, TV, split system heat pump/air conditioner and wardrobe, dining table, kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishes and cutlery. There is ample bench space which can be used for remote working and WiFi booster. There is a separate bathroom with shower, spa bath, toilet, washing machine, and dryer. There is a separate gym area for adults. Granton is a perfect location to base yourself, while exploring Tasmania's many award winning attractions, arts and cultural events. We are situated in the hills of Granton, which is quiet and peaceful, but only 30 minutes drive (19 kilometres) from Hobart city. We are a 10 minute drive from MONA - Museum of Old and New Art. Take a 5 minute drive to Stefano Lubiano Vineyard cellar door/ restaurant and to the Derwent Estate vineyard and The Shed Restaurant. For a traditional pub meal you can head down to the York Hotel, 12 Mile Steakhouse, 3 minutes drive away. Local amenities include the Lagoon General Store and takeaway, with fuel station. Woolworths and Coles complex with KFC, McDonald's, pharmacy and newsagents, a short drive away. Travel 15 minutes to New Norfolk with its array of antique shops, and home to the 'award winning ' Agrarian Kitchen Restaurant. Close by are the Salmon Ponds, and further afield for keen bushwalkers, the beautiful Mt Field National Park and Russell Falls. Not far from Mt Field is the popular Maydena Bike Park for mountain bike enthusiasts. Venture north over the bridge to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary to get up and close with Australian wildlife. Take a 30 minute drive to get to the historic township of Richmond and Coal River Valley Wineries. Guest access On locating the number of the house, the driveway will take you to your own private carpark and entrance to the studio apartment. The self check-in lock box is located to the right of the entrance door. Please let us know if you would prefer to be greeted upon arrival. The apartment is quite secluded from main roads, so if you need extra details for directions, please don't hesitate to let us know, particularly in winter when dark, and little street lighting. The outdoor pool (used only in summer) is a shared area, which you are welcome to use. Other things to note Please note there are 2 single beds in fold up style and will be set up in the main studio room. There is also a portacot for infant, so the studio apartment could accommodate 2 children and infant. There is NO STOVE in the kitchenette, however a microwave for heating and cooking (rice cooker and egg poacher for microwave) and a toaster. There is a BBQ in your outside area solely for your use. Note: In Winter it gets dark early, and the country roads do not have street lights. Public transport: It is a 15 to 20 minute walk to the nearest bus stop. Ubers and taxis are freely available.
