Enjoy this spacious, open, new, two bedroom apartment and with spectacular views from the massive deck looking out into Havilland Bay, only 25 minutes north of Sault Ste Marie Ontario. Our boat launch is complimentary during your stay, and for a limited time we are offering a complimentary dock if one is available! Bring your boat and enjoy fishing, waterskiing, many beaches, and islands or explore the area’s Provincial Parks, Voyageur Trail, Stokley Creek Lodge, Searchmont Resort. The space You will be staying in a large, bright and open two bedroom, second floor apartment that overlooks a private marina only 25 minutes north of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, where Highway 17 first meets Lake Superior. This is a second floor apartment and is only accessible by a flight of stairs and there is the danger of deep water, uneven ground and walking areas, as is common to all marinas, it is not handicapped or child friendly. This 1,200 sq ft apartment provides most of the amenities of home but likely better views! You will likely only need to bring your food, clothing and personal items as towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, linens, and kitchen essentials such as spices, salt and pepper, tea and coffee are provided! STARLINK WIFI provided. COMPLIMENTARY BOAT LAUNCH If you have a boat come explore the beauty of Lake Superior. The use of our private launch is complimentary and we are able to offer a dock, if one is available . Please let us know in advance if you will be bringing your boat. The “Captain’s Quarters ” has a king size bed, with both mountain and lake views, antique dresser, large closet with luggage rack, large smart tv and ceiling fan. The “First Mate’s Quarters” is a cozy room with a mountain view, a queen size bed, small smart tv and a closet with a luggage rack. The open living room has a sectional that pulls out to a queen size bed. A 65” smart tv sits above an electric fireplace. There are books, board games and cards provided for your entertainment. The fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops has an electric stove with self cleaning oven, stainless steel fridge/freezer, and a large island with 6 stools. Coffee pot, Keurig machine, electric kettle, dishes and drink ware for both indoor and outdoor dining, knife set, blender, crock pot, mixer, baking sheets, bowls, storage containers, wine opener, napkins and paper towel, dish soap are provided. A hand made, wooden farm house dining table seats six and has views of the marina and mountains. The bathroom has a double sinks, toilet, bathtub with shower and hairdryer, a first aid kit, full length mirror and laundry hamper. We provide the shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Please use the black wash cloths provided to remove make up. The best feature may be the large deck over looking the marina providing an additional 500 sq ft of outdoor living space with sofa, chairs and fire table on one side and the outdoor dining table for 6 people and a BBQ area. Get out and enjoy the natural beauty of our area: - Batchawana Island, an undeveloped and now Nature Conservancy Canada protected island with sandy beaches, cobble stone shores, forests and wetlands. Bring your boat to experience all the wonders of the island. -The Voyageur Trial, Harmony-Stokely section can be accessed 1 km from the Marina, across Hwy 17 from McCauley’s Restaurant . There is another trail entrance about 200 ft from Harmony Beach’s north entrance. - Havilland Beach is at the turn to Havilland Shores Drive from Highway 17, the first access to Lake Superior on Highway 17 heading west and 1 km from the Marina - Harmony Beach is only a 5 minute drive north of the Marina, has a 1 km of sandy beach with sandy bottom, and the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see! - Pancake Bay National Park is a 30 minute drive can offer a refreshing swim in Lake Superior, a 14 km bike/ hiking trail to Lookout Trail or hiking the 3.5 km Nature Trail - Bathtub Island is a hidden treasure just an hour drive north from the Marina, and .5 km south of Katherine Cove Provincial Park - Stokley Creek Lodge, cross country skiing is a 10 minute drive - Searchmont Ski Hill is a 30 minute drive Guest access Guest will be provided the combination to the gate prior to arrival to gain access to our private, members only marina. Guests will only have use of marina during their stay and must not disclose gate code. Guests may arrive anytime after 3 pm on first day of reservation, or if bringing a boat may have use of marina all day but access to apartment will only be after 3 pm. If a dock has been rented, you will be given your assigned dock number prior to arriving. Guest will be given the combination to the apartment door prior to arrival to access the apartment. Other things to note Please respect quiet hours between 11 pm to 7 am and remember that voices travel at night and across water. Please note that this is an operational marina with boats being launched and docked at all hours. Please do not disclose combination to the gate and keep closed and locked upon entering and exiting the property. Please stay off docks as they are private. Access only the dock you are assigned, if applicable. Please do not swim or fish in the marina. It is dangerous. Please do not throw any objects into the water. Please do not enter any private areas or buildings other than your apartment. Use of property, launch, dock and apartment are at own risk. Please be mindful of the beauty and potential dangers of the surrounding nature: eagles, geese with babies, bears, coyotes, sudden changes in weather conditions and water levels. We are not responsible for any acts of nature. Please note that we are on a septic system, only flush toilet paper in toilets and do not dump grease or excessively dirty liquid in drains. You will be held liable for any damages and costs. Please let us know if you need anything. Please remember to enjoy the property as much as we do!
