Description
Welcome to your light-filled Mendocino home in the redwood forest! Only a 4-minute drive from the village, come rest and relax in this newly remodeled and appointed home in a sunny meadow beside towering redwoods. The home features two king-size bedrooms, two full bathrooms with bidets, and a Murphy bed in the living room, as well as a large deck with an outdoor shower and hot tub. Delight in the peace and natural beauty of its many garden seating areas, hammock, pond, and giant redwood trees. The space Our property sits at the headwaters of a creek just above the coastal fog line, and contains gardens, an expansive meadow, wild blackberries, and fairy rings of giant Redwood trees. It notably features one of the largest old growth Redwood trees on a residential property that we’ve seen in our years living in Mendocino. There’s a beautiful bench carved into the base of the tree where you can gaze up at the expanse of branches, as well as beautiful starry nights. There is no shortage of beautiful vantage points here, and seats from which to enjoy them. The property is fully fenced, and gated for privacy (mostly from the many woodland critters who pay us visits in the night!) It is a less than 5-minute drive inland from the historic village of Mendocino, Big River Beach, the Mendocino Headlands, Russian Gulch State Park, and all the many wonders, beaches, and trails of the Mendocino coast. The home itself has been designed with care and quality in mind. A true 'home' away from home. We provide all-natural fiber bamboo and cotton bed linens, plush towels, luxury electric bidets in both bathrooms, a fully stocked chef's kitchen, top-of-the-line sound system and large screen television, as well as art by local artists and a library of books and DVDs, puzzles, and games for your enjoyment. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the main house and limited access to the garage (for ping pong or car charging). While you are here, you will have the property to yourselves—we only ask that you do not enter either the old barn or wood shed, as these structures are old and not structurally sound.
