Description
Unique, quaint gable fronted gate lodge, built in 1825. Tastefully restored and refurbished to modern standards with charming features all around. 2 double (or twin beds) bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms & sofabed in the living room. Set on the edge of a mature forest, lots of woodland trails & country lanes. Walking distance to golf course and pub. Kingfisher cycling trail is on the doorstep, trailing across the drumlins. Lovely coffee shop in the local town 4km & a pub with woodfired pizza. The space This aesthetically-pleasing gate lodge is prominently sited at a height overlooking the Clones-facing entrance to Hilton Park and is known as "Clones Gate Lodge". It is enlivened by timber detailing to the roof, as well as a decorative Regency-style canopy to the front. The variety of windows adds interest to the elevations. As you enter the Gate Lodge there is a large patio area to rear, with garden furniture and a BBQ, ideal for warmer days. Entering the lodge from the patio door there is an open plan kitchen- living dining area on the ground floor with a fully equipped kitchen. The living area is comfortable and cozy with two sofas and a wood-burning stove and Smart TV. Wifi available throughout the property. Hallway with downstairs toilet and utility room with washing machine. Leading upstairs to two very comfortable double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms with showers and toilets. Can be either twins or double beds. There is a small sofa bed in the downstairs living area. Guest access Guests have access to their private wild garden, and backyard forest and can explore the woodland trails and lanes around the gate lodge.
