The Hobbit House (Hot Tub)
Description
This guest suite with a private entrance, is attached to our main house, where your hosting family lives. It's located in a quiet part of town tucked into the trees with a river and walking path across the street. It would be perfect if your travelling here for work or just need a relaxing getaway. This guest suite was once a chicken coop, now turned into a modern mid-century style house that we lovingly have called the Hobbit House because of it's low ceilings. The space The Hobbit House is a full house. It has 1 living room with a door that can be shut to create it's own room. There is space for a double air mattress or single mattress to be added in the living room. One dining table in the living room area . It has a bar counter in the kitchen. There are 4 dining chairs and seating for 5 in the living room. It has one bathroom and 1 laundry/mudroom. And it has 2 cozy bedrooms each with a queen bed and 1 lounge chair. One bedroom also has a workspace area. This house is attached to the main house where we as your hosts live, but other then if we meet outside, we will give you full privacy. We use a seperate entrance. Since it once was a chicken coop, it has ceilings only 6'3". The shower is a cozy 26" x 32" x 6'1". So please make sure you;ll be comfortable with that. This house is comfortable for 2 adults. We would recommend not more than 4 adults but if you're feeling close it could sleep up to 7 people. This place is set up to be a quiet place to work or to have a romantic weekend with your significant other or just a small close friend group getaway. Behind the hobbit house (accessible through the backdoor) is your own private hot tub and firepit area. It has a picnic table, 4 chairs and a bbq. Guest access Guests have the hobbit house all to themselves. You have all access to the private hot tub/ firepit area. We don't go there. The rest of the yard is shared. You will find us on the other side of the privacy fence a lot with our kids. But you are free to use the play structure as well if you have kids and in the winter there will likely be a skating rink somewhere that you can feel free to use as well. You will see our rabbit, Gus, in a little house outside. Feel free to say hi to him! Other things to note Our driveway is hard to find, especially at night. Please take note of the directions on this website and don’t depend on your GPS to find the driveway.
