La Casetta del Merlo is a bright 50 m2 attic with a private entrance, newly renovated, with a view of the roofs and mountains. We are in the quiet village of Nus, a few steps from all the services that the town offers: convenient free parking, means of transport, shops, pizzerias, a delicious pastry shop and a renowned restaurant. The central location of Nus (12 km from Aosta) is ideal for visiting all the most famous places in the Valley without traveling excessive distances. IT007045C2UHEH5MCX The space The accommodation is a comfortable open space with high ceilings, exposed beams and wooden floors, completely renovated; it is located on the highest floor of a house that dates back to the end of 1700, a period of which it retains some stone and wood parts. It consists of a complete kitchen, living area with sofa bed, sleeping area with double bed, bathroom with shower and balcony. The house overlooks a pedestrian alley ("llaou" in patois) in the center of Nus, a village of medieval origins. The location of Nus is ideal for discovering and visiting the Aosta Valley. Being located in the central part of the Valley allows you to reach all the most famous places in a short time, changing destination every day: among these Courmayeur with the Mont Blanc massif and the Skyway, the Pré-Saint-Didier spa, Cogne with the Gran Paradiso National Park, Valtournanche and Mount Cervino, Gressoney and the Monte Rosa group. For those who want to stay nearby, the Fénis Castle with the Valdostano Craft Museum (less than 2 km from home) and the historic center of the city of Aosta are unmissable destinations. I also suggest traveling through the Saint Barthélemy Valley to the Astronomical Observatory and the Planetarium and then continuing until you reach the panoramic cross-country ski slopes above the hamlet of Lignan, which in summer turn into beautiful walks on foot or by mountain bike. Nus can be reached by car via the A5 Turin-Aosta motorway (the Nus toll booth is located between the Châtillon-St. Vincent and Aosta Est exits) or via the SS 26 state road. The nearest free public parking is in Via San Rocco, just few steps from home. ARRIVING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT. Alternatively, you can arrive by "ARRIVA" buses from Milan and Turin or by train with the Turin-Ivrea-Aosta line. Currently, the Ivrea-Aosta line is undergoing electrification work, so from Ivrea station onwards, you will find convenient replacement buses operated by Trenitalia. The Nus train station and bus stop are approximately 200 meters from the apartment. In the days before your arrival, you will receive instructions on how to meet us and access the accommodation. Other things to note - When booking for two guests, only the double bed will be prepared; please advise us in advance of any other needs. - Please note that from the entrance to the attic, you must climb a flight of stairs. This may not be safe for small children, who are not yet confident walking, if left unattended. - We don't accept pets; the accommodation is safe for guests with pets allergies. - The accommodation is energy class B. Heating is independent with radiators, and the boiler is located outside the accommodation (operating noises are not heard inside). Heating is included in the price from mid-October to mid-April.
