Welcome to your retreat in the Upper Beaches neighbourhood! We are walking distance or short bus ride to the lake, boardwalk, and Woodbine Park (for concerts and festivals!). Our place is equally close to the restaurants and shopping of the Danforth and Gerrard India Bazaar. Convenient commute options - 15 min drive downtown, minutes to bus stop, and close to TTC subway/streetcar and GO train station. A bike share station is just down the street. The space You'll be in our bright and cozy basement studio room with large south-facing windows, a double (Murphy) bed, and washroom with shower. There is an office workstation with Wifi Internet. The basement will be for your exclusive use during your stay - no shared spaces. Enjoy your very own fully fenced-in patio garden shaded by mature trees as well. Charcoal grill available upon request during summer months. You'll have use of a mini-fridge, hot water kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. There is no kitchen in the basement, but there are many amazing restaurants options in the area - we are locals and happy to share our favourite recommendations! We are in a quiet neighbourhood, but due to the nature of being a basement of a semi-detached house, you may hear some noises or footsteps overhead. There is street parking available around our place; if driving, we can let you know how you can obtain an overnight Toronto parking permit ($27.45/48h or $41.16/week + HST). Note: Our furnace/utility room is in the basement, so we may need to access it in the rare case of emergency, and would would inform you in advance if so. Otherwise, this basement room is completely yours to enjoy! Guest access The place has a private entrance through the garden patio. Please note that there are both exterior and interior stairs to access. Other things to note We have a friendly labrador retriever on premises (upper floor), but it will not have access to your area during your stay. Registration Details STR-2406-FLXPPQ
