You found it! There is NO ONE like us. We are locals, veteran & woman owned & managed. Simply the newest, most comfortable & accessible rental, in the perfect place. Luxuriate on the gorgeous paver patio on Adirondack Chairs, soaking in gorgeous sunsets over the Potomac River where it meets Antietam Creek. Savor morning coffee (yes, we stock coffee & tea) as you watch the sun rise over Elk Ridge. Cozy up on our luxurious LayZBoy recliner in front of the E-fireplace, & watch what you want on th The space Fully furnished, insulated, climate controlled metal Quonset Dome with covered porch & open patio with fire pit. The building is sited for passive solar and air flow. Living areas are on the bright, open, airy South side, sleeping areas are on the cooler North side. Views of Elk Ridge, Antietam Creek & Potomac River Valley. Local & other art photography, full length mirror, full kitchen, queen beds, sofa recliner, TV, washer, dryer, pantry. Large roofed porch & stone patio with fire pit & Solo Stove insert, charcoal grill, hammock, & Adirondack chairs for relaxing. The patio is surrounded by a native plant garden, with native oaks, redbuds, sweetgum & other trees for strategic shade. Coffee maker and electric kettle with basic coffee & tea selection, kitchen basics and spice mixes. All linens & towels are new & unique to the property. Our well water contains iron sulfides that are good for your skin, even if it smells a little funny. We stock some basic firewood and kindling, as well as charcoal for the grill. Guest access You will have the whole house, & the space around it. A native plant garden surrounds the patio, & we have planted over 250 native trees & shrubs on the property. There is a large meadow area to the East, & trails around the native tree plantings. The West side is steeper, & meets the neighboring property. Other things to note Property is 10 minutes walk to Antietam Creek access, at the historic Iron Works Bridge. Location: .5 miles to the C&O Canal National Historical Park, 2 miles from Antietam National Battlefield, 15 miles from Harpers Ferry National Park, 48 miles from Gettysburg. Local parks are Washington Monument, Reno Monument, Greenbriar, & numerous small local parks. Optional Amenities & Services: Items: (per item, per rental) -Queen or Toddler Bed Inflatabeds, Made & taken down $20 each. (You can use them without renting them, but you are responsible for setup & neat replacement of beds) -Bicycles: 3 adult bicycles with luggage rack & safety flag, $15 each. For use to & from C&O canal path only. No road or street use, Canal & Harpers Ferry Rd NOT SAFE for cycling. -Intex River Run Float Tubes single $15, double $20 (we loan life vests free, just bring them back) -Extra firewood for Solo Stove (we use deadfall from around the property) $20 -More S’mores: Marshmallows, grahams & Hershey bars for 4 adults $10 -Canoes & Kayaks: Please inquire with Pedal & Paddle first. We will discuss experience level & routes, before considering leasing our boats. Services (per service, up to 4 adults, subject to availability & schedule) -Shuttle Service: One Way: Trail Pickup or Dropoff at one location $25 (Gapland, Weverton, Antietam Campground, MD side of Harpers Ferry/Maryland Heights at dropoff area on Harpers Ferry Rd) 2-Way: Pickup AND dropoff $50. Can also be used for tubing trips on Antietam Creek. Between 8am & 6pm only please, 15-minute “wiggle time” but no more than 30 minutes. -Mobility & Foam Rolling Class: $125 Up to 4 adults, with Fascial Fitness Instructor Emily. You can ask for specific issues & concerns, whether you hike, bike, or fly a desk. Mats & foam rollers supplied. -Bird & Nature Walk: $50 up to 4 adults. Children must be with an adult (let us know ages). 1 hour of walking on the C&O Canal, spotting birds, reptiles, mammals, plants & insects, including the very special Zebra Swallowtail, migratory birds including eagles & warblers. Emily is a lifelong naturalist, & loves sharing her love of ecosystems, & the interesting creatures in them. -Bodywork $180: 60-90 minutes for ONE person. Subject to availability. Get an expert trail tuneup, & self help instruction, from Emily. Emily is licensed in Maryland as a Certified Advanced Rolfer®, Fascial Fitness instructor, & manual therapist.
